Enjoyed watching the game. Do you still plan to take the same squad or have you altered it since this?

I think, my Aggressor squad is perfect.

I tried IG-C and IG-D in several matches, but their pilot abilities didn't play a big role. So I switched to IG-A.

IG-A is great versus a swarm but I think will be sub optimal at best versus the large amount of 2 ship builds you're likely to see in tournament play.

You're totally right.
For example: In mirror match against someone, who uses IG-B and IG-C, I would have some problems.

I guess, the current META will change into squad lists with more than 2 ships, because of the IGs.

With the nerf of the T/Phantom und the raise of the Agressors, the swarms are going to come back.

... and I'll be well-prepared.

I like your style and the sped up activation phases in particular. Only one thing bugs me. It's how you say Howlrunner. Howl uses the ow sound from "now", not the one from "bowl". Yes, English is stupid.

You played it twice, once in each language. That's dedication. At first I thought you would be trying to dub in the second language. I liked that you even showed german cards in the german version. Kreischlaeufer. LOL.

Kreischläufer sounds quite weird even in german.

Disney has annouced, that they want to translate more pilot names into german in the future.

Now, everyone in Germany is scared we will see more "names" like Kreischläufer.

By the way, did I pronounce Howlrunner right in the last batrep?

Closer, but it still sounds like you're going for the long o sound instead of the ow equivalent to the german au.

Still, I'm very impressed that you both can play x-wing for 75 minutes completely in english without slipping back into german. Unless maybe you're editing those bits out with speedy dial and maneuver segments of the video.

And the way Torben flips his ship cards and lines up the damage cards so neatly when a ship is destroyed strikes me as so very, very german.

Aren't the others already Nachtbestie and Rueckenstecher and Dunkler Fluch? Gefluegelte Gundark? LOL. Do an english video with all the german names...

Ha, Ha, Ha ... actually it was my idea to flip the cards so neatly, but Torben has reached a perfect level with this. Practise makes perfect!

Only "Nachtbestie", "Geflügelte Gundark", Geflüster (T/Phantom Whipser) ... the other pilots are in english.

The generic T/Adv. "Storm Squadron Pilot" is also not translated. It is translated as "Pilot der Storm-Staffel".

Sturm-Staffel is the correct translation, but this isn't politically correct (because it's quite similar to the S.A. or S.S. of the german 3. Reich).

What are stormtroopers called in the German dubbed version of the movie? Just curious as I believe that's the literal translation of the S.A.

stormtroopers = Sturmtruppen

I think, stormtoopers/sturmtruppen is a normal military designation. So, no need for censorship.

SS = Schutz-Staffel (protection squad), SA = Sturm-Abteilung (storm division)

Storm Squadron = Sturm-Staffel = combo SS / SA (yeah sounds weird, but I think that's why they didn't translate it into german)

So anyway...

I was going to try to emulate Torben in my games, but I find myself feeling rushed all the time playing my TIE swarm. I haven't yet had the discipline to do what he does with those cards. Even just playing 4 Y-wings, I feel I don't have enough time to flip over the pilot card, turn the damage cards sideways in a nice pile on top along with the upgrade cards. He makes it look so smooth and precise. Even the way he pulls the damage cards off the deck is somehow better.

Alright, I try to get Torben to make a tutorial vid about "How to perfectly flip over X-Wing cards while gaming".

No, this was the last episode of Thrawn's Boot Camp. I think, we are going to make new episodes of Thrawn's Boot Camp next year.

Now, it's time for "Thrawn's Field Test", because there are many many many new things to test.
