So cards like "paragon" or "yavaris" say things like:
The use of "You" in those cards are they the Player? Or the Ship?
Example:
Paragon lets you add a black dice when shooting against a ship that you already attacked this turn.
So does that mean that the Paragon has to line a ship up to hit it with 2 arcs or does it mean that as long as you activate the Paragon 2nd (After shooting at the ship) you get to add more?
Same with Yavaris do you only get this power when the Yavaris actives the squadrons?
I definitely think that's how it works but I want to make sure I'm doing it right.
Question on the wording "You"
In general "You" refers to the ship with the upgrade.
it's weird FFG lingo, but as skyhwk said "you" refers to the ship
It kind of sort of helps to think that it's referring to the player only when the ship is activated, I guess
It's definitely a bit buried, but this is indeed covered in the Rules Reference:

Try phrasing rules on a card without a shorthand like "you". It takes a few extra words to avoid ambiguity which makes the cards harder to read due to higher density, or in some cases smaller text.
At least they had the foresight to explicitly explain the usage of "you" in the RRG.

It's amazing how thorough they were with that thing.

It's truly a well written book. Granted there are a few situational details that even the LTP book handles that it doesn't, but as a whole if one makes a thorough study of both books, one should have a good grasp of most game occurrences, or at least be familiar enough to know what to look up where.
