Battlefront (EA) Star Wars will have no class.

Especially since blasters wouldn't have recoil.

What does that have to do with ADS?

It would make aiming easier (especially in burst fire), so the run and gun style of classic shooters would be more feasible.

Admittedly, sights would still make sense on guns, but my issue with the mechanic is it promotes static fights as opposed to the run and gun style that was essential in classic shooters- including games like the Dark Forces saga.

It also promotes immersion and finer aiming. I dunno, maybe it's just the infantryman in me, but I prefer to be able to point my weapon directly at my target. A lack of recoil doesn't really enter into the equation.

Real life isn't run and gun. Even in the movies, nobody runs and guns (unless they're attempting to provide their own suppressing fire on the move).

Blasters have recoil from when the magnetic bottle containing the highly charged plasma departs the barrel due to the opposite charges involved.

I've played many games with microtransactions, and Star Wars would at least feel "Worth it" imo.

Still missing the point, though: Marinealver's bit about microtransactions came out of nowhere. The article he linked talks about class and ADS, and not much else.

It's completely plausible that EA would implement microtransactions--you can work your way up to the Heavy Blaster Rifle, or you can purchase it for just $4.99! But there's no actual evidence that they will do so or even a persuasive reason to suspect it, other than their general scumminess.

Likely won't have Microtransactions, but there will definitely be BF Premium and a bunch of DLC.

I for one am glad AIDS is gone, it goes back to the older style of shooters like SWBF 1&2, Republic Commando, Dark Forces series, etc.
