"This winter, you’ll have a new weapon in the ongoing fight to keep the streets of Arkham safe. Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the upcoming release of Arkham Horror Custom Dice! Designed by Q-Workshop, producers of high-quality polyhedral dice, these highly-detailed six-sided dice are cast from hand-carved originals, and feature sculpted number faces as well as Elder signs on the "5" and "6" sides indicating successes!"

So how do you guys feel about these Dice? Personaly I love them.. will def. be picking them up. My only problem is I use waaaay mor ethan 5 Die. Hopefully they won't be too expensive so i cna buy a couple sets.

Same here , I bought a set of 36 d6 just for this game partido_risa.gif

yeah I gott a couple Warhamme rdice sets for it lol

You know you're obsessed when you look at painted cubes of plastic and thing "Oooo! Want!" happy.gif

And yes, I'm including myself in that group ... *lol*

They're a little busy, but after a few plays you'll probably just be tuning in to the elder sign image in regards to successes. Of course, I will be replacing my current mythos dice with a set of these--you bet.

Curses! I just bought a bunch of dice just for Arkham Horror, and yet I still feel compelled to buy these. lengua.gif

I have a feeling that these are going to be pretty expensive (for dice that is). Probably 12-15 bucks for five of em. That's way more than I'm willing to spend on dice irregardless of how sexy they are.

Now what FFG needs is to create a set of BLUE dice with Elder Signs on 4, 5 and 6 for blessed investigators, and a set of RED dice with Elder Sign only on the 6 for cursed investigators.

Good idea! but most peoples pockets wont stretch that far for dice.

That's why I settle for normal D6 without any newfangled elder signs on them. Works every time.

Yeah I'm probably in the "won't buy" boat on these, too. Kudos to FFG for making some truly spiffy looking dice, but I already have more than enough d6s from my various gaming hobbies. If these dice came in the box with the next big expansion I certainly wouldn't throw them away, but I don't see myself springing for them as a separate gaming accessory.

A custom designed cloth bag for use as a monster cup, however... That I could go for. =)

I wonder if we can get official clarification that the elder signs and designs are sculpted, and not just the numbers. After the issues of the silk screened Doom dice, I would hate to buy these and have the elder signs and designs wear off.

^

Based on the images, they appear to be sculpted. You can clearly see shadowing on several of the numbers. Also, if you look at the '6' side of the die in the front right, you can see shadowing on the 6.

Although I've got more than enough d6s for for all the players, I'd probably get at least one set of these. Maybe use them if we have to face the AO.

I was a little confused with your response. Were you talking about the numbers or the elder signs/designs? The numbers look sculpted, and I wasn't questioning that. I was questioning the elder signs and the design. Some of the images look sculpted and some don't. I'd just like verification.

They should have used the Doom Token eyeball or something for the 1 space, for Upkeep rolls.

I dunno. I've already got my game stocked with 4 sets of 12 dice, all basic Chessex:, black on red, black on gray, white on speckled green, white on speckled blue. Some of my cultists who still "collect the bones" bring their own dice. I may buy this set, but probably just to have it. I find it's a bit more desirable to be able to clearly see your die results, rather than marvel at its artistry, during gameplay.

Arkham Horror Fans!

answering your question: all green patterns- frame, numbers and elder signs are crafted and then painted, so they won't wear off!

we don't print our products, these are high quality dice, so don't worry, they are going to serve you perfectly for ages!

Awesome. Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks! Looks like I'll be getting some more dice...

They make some great dice. Our local FLGSs in Tucson stock a few varieties all the time. I was hoping they would do something like this for AH, because they've had a full set of Call of Cthulhu dice in production for a while, of course only 1 d6 was included in that set.

Take a look at the rest
