What would you consider to be the deadliest Imperial ship?

By devotedknight, in X-Wing

VESSERY + HLC + Outmaneuver

... and at least one friendly ship around which is able to TL ...

Which in my case is usually Vader with that ATC...

(and the third last i did this was a tempest with air conditioning).

Shuttle

Personally I'd say Super Fel or post Raider Vader with EU/ATC. Vader is edging it for me because he has shields where Soontir has none. Soontir still has the better dial, but Vader can K-Turn after taking 2 actions. I just can't pick between the 2!

How can Vader k-turn after taking two actions? I must be missing something. Stress prevents his actions and Advanced Sensors only allow him to take one action.

Arvel this guy took out a SSD that's deadly

Opps missed the imperial part

I'll go with the shuttle + upgrades

Have to go with Decimator. If you throw that at someone the pointy bits on the front could really do some damage!

Nothing else in the Rebel, Imperial or Scum ship range has such potential in terms of weight, or pointyness, for eye-poke-outingly high levels of deadly.

CR-90 as a close second, makes a nice club, but isnt particularly pointy, so loses out there. Will have to wait for the Raider before a final verdict, because that looks pretty pointy and could achieve a higher level of deadliness as a thrown weapon or as a club. Gets points for versatility.

Or was this a different answer than you were expecting :P :P :P

Actually the DS has 2 hull.

They got a crit. and direct hit.

I'd have to actually say that the Death Star has infinite hull, and a special rules text that it can only be killed by a crit. After all, the rebels did make a bunch of useless strafing runs that did nothing to the station.

Imperial Raider... it keeps draging us in

:P

Phantom is still king. Followed by Soontir (Interceptor) and I do really expect Vader (Tie Advanced) after Raider release to be right up there.

I really don't see Decimator as being top dog. Yes it has a lot of hull but man its easy to kill and the damage it dishes out is not that amazing. Phantom with 4-5 red dice and 5 green dice is way way way better the majority of the time.

The phantom's got 4 green dice. Unless you're putting Stealth Device on it, which is just daft.

Phantom has a much higher skill requirement now but if you're amazing with it it's still pretty good.

300 attack dice

Yeah, that makes more sense.

Crit by torpedo only.

port being tiny would have an agi of .. i dunno, 2? 3?

torp is S4, with 1 crit. need to TL, but luke obviously took deadeye. so what... 3 hits and a crit?

For the points I have been really impressed with the bounty hunter firespray with mangler canon, mercenary co. 1 of those work out of your rear arc both turn hits to crits. Large base with 2 defense and an evade action. I'd take it over a lone decimator. This is however if I'm ignoring the rest of the squad and looking only at one ship.

Echo w/ Vet Instincts, Advanced Cloaking Device, Fire Control System, Recon Specialist

Fantastic arc dodger, great focus fire and with recon specialist even if you hoof and end up being shot at you can have a good chance of avoiding most if not all damage. I think they're a blast to fly but the Phantom is definitely under costed in my opinion for everything you get.

Its Luke. Using the Force.

4 natural Crits.

It's a capital ship, so own damage deck.

"chain reaction" card face up, card reads "OMGSPLODEZ".

What would you consider to be the deadliest Imperial ship?

The one on your six...

For one turn, it's Fett or Kath with Opportunist, Darth Vader, and Cluster Missiles. With good rolls and draws, you can kill a Decimator as you do 8 red dice and 2 crits.

Give it Slave 1 and APT for a possible 6 dice + 1 auto crit attack after you've fired your clusters.

Well, if I'm free to ignore the squad as a whole, something like this:

Rear Admiral Chiraneau (46)

Predator (3)

Advanced Proton Torpedoes (6)

Darth Vader (3)

Gunner (5)

Mercenary Copilot (2)

Proton Bombs (5)

Engine Upgrade (4)

Dauntless (2)

Total: 76

Hey, that saves you exactly enough points for 2 academy TIEs. So you're good!

For real though, I always want to fully load stuff out. YT-1300s, YT-2400s, even X-Wings, fully kitted out! Alas... it's just not efficient...

The Decimator with Expose. Just, flat out.

Lets start a list:

Vessery + HLC

Dark Curse + TC

... 40 points left for whatever you consider to be deathly ...
