Any info on Boba Fett's deployment card/abilities?

After a hostile figure voluntarily exits a space adjacent to you that figure suffers 1 strain. Limit once per round per figure.

Second ability is unreadable for me.

It should be Disintegration.

If the defender did not cancel any damage and you did at least two, they're just insta dead. Boom.

Or three surge for insta kill.

I want disintegration.

No disintegrations!

More on topic: from straining my eyes the second ability looks to give bonuses of some kind when attacking a weakened target.

I find Boba's surge abilities to be rather lame. Pierce 1 is basically equivalent to the Stormtrooper +1 damage, and Weakened only lasts til the end of the round. For a 13 cost card, I hope his second ability makes up for the rest of the lack luster abilities/surges.

He is incredibly defensive though. As a ranged character, with 3 dice, and a speed of 6, who will likely always be able to apply "Weakened" to whatever he shoots at, with an automatic +1 evade/block, he's going to be a real pain to kill.

Considering he rolls a yellow, he will likely be able to constantly keep the weakened state on whatever he's shooting at. Combine that with his natural +1 evade, Boba might end up being the best 1v1 figure in the game. Being able to almost completely negate a figure's surges is pretty good.

The card says "discard this condition at the end of your activation." To me, it seems like if you weaken someone who's already been activated, it remains with them until they activate next round. Making them vulnerable for any additional acts this round... and into the next.

6 movement is also huge, especially when combined with mobile. I think he seems pretty good for the points all things considered.

After re-reading the description, I believe you're correct. I thought you remove it after the round, but now I see it's after that figure activates. So you could weaken a figure that's already activated, and then "force" him to activate early in the next round if he wants to remove the condition.

I guess I could see Boba being a good card, but i was hoping he'd be more deadly...

He probably doesn't do as much damage as Vader or Royal Guard champion, but Boba Fett seems to be like that annoying fly you hate.

He keeps bothering you, he keeps biting you, and you just can't get rid of it.

Overall I don't think I'm fond of a tanky utility figure for such a high points cost, I mean: has anyone found Han useful?

Boba's second ability is to tell great stories. It's a special action and causes him to be stunned afterwards.

Some of you may be mistaken about what a bounty hunter actually does; killing targets is not always the best way to go about collecting said bounty.

I'm not sure I'd take Boba as a villian in a campaign. But in skirmish, he will be amazing, not for killing per se, but for rushing objectives.

While true, I'd expect a guy with a flamethrower and rocket launcher to be more deadly :P

Regardless, I think he'll be great. Most of the time in campaign your objective isn't to defeat the heroes, but to just slow them down and distract them.

After looking at the link to the picture I almost think it looks like Boba has an auto 2 block and 2 evade. It's hard to tell for sure because of the angle of the card and quality of zoom. But the numbers look different than the 1 pierce right below it. If he does have the auto 2 of each defense that makes him way better. I think it would fit with his character and having a jet pack and being an all around hard guy to kill (unless you're temporarily blinded and also super lucky)

I'd like to know if anyone else sees 2's there or if I'm just mistaken.

The anti surge might be a 2, but I'm pretty sure the auto-block is a 1.

Also, his second ability is something that gives him 3 surge options, so perhaps a melee attack or something to do with the flamethrower/rocket launcher he has.

EDIT: Upon more thought and inspection, it seems his second ability is called Battle Preparation or Battle Discipline. My theory is that whenever he attacks you can add 1 or 2 of the surge abilities it lists below. It seems to make sense considering he gets a yellow die despite have only 2 rather weak surge effects up top.

My friend runs Han, and he can seriously be a massive pain to deal with at times. Granted, he runs him with Gideon, and focuses him all the time, so Han is rolling 3 greens and a Blue at me...

I believe Boba's ability reads:

No matter the result, every enemy on the board insta dies, because he is boba fett.

The first ability might be "Sable Presence", but my best guess is "Battle Presence".

The second ability is probably "Battle Discipline", followed by "When you declare...".

Speaking of which when the heck are we getting a new article, it says second quarter release....July is the end of Q2,and not one article with about 7 figures to preview ?

Weird, I could swear it says "on a defense, if you roll a blank Fett's jet pack misfires and he falls into a Sarlacc pit and dies. Because he is Boba Fett"
