Here are my repainted ships.

I repainted both VSD's to be flagship of planetary defense forces. The Rebel ships were washed over with mixes of a few colors.

Thoughts?

The VSD is very interesting - I wouldn't have expected to like the black coloring but it works. Feels very Imperial!

I think it works because you've managed to preserve all the detail and weathering - that can be tricky with black paint. Did you just do a series of washes to get that effect or was it brushwork?

Oh, I repainted the entire ship on each. Well except for the thrusters.

I painted with a grey whitex then painted the black areas, drybrished on some darker grey, then some silver, followed my a nuln oil wash.

I can get you paint names later. Been working forbthe last 15 hours so I am kind of beat

Very nicely done. I've been hesitating over painting the VSD. With such large flat planes made up of smaller plates it would be real easy to mess up. Mot to sure how a solid color change would work out.

Well I stated by painting the whole thing and then worked from there. I am getting an air brush for when I start Robotech Tactics so I will be using that and some hand paining for drybrushinf and washing

I will be taking more pictures soon with my new phone (better camera) I will also be doing some work on the Rebel ships from Now on other than washing them so that they look unique (stealth Corp versions, repainting the strip, etc)
