Is it just me or is none playing shuttles anymore?
I havent seen a lambda shuttle feature in a top8 list for ages, has anyone else?

A list with a Lambda in it won the 2014 GenCon Nationals, if I recall correctly.
That was a year, two waves and an Acepack ago.
I play them often, love the old cow!
I have just gotten one and used it recently. Its a hard thing to get right especially against the current meta of beefy turrets and arc dodgers that just speed right past it.
But if used correctly it really adds a nice dimension to any squad!
im a advocate of EU and advanced sensors as minimum upgrades unless you are going for pure Doomshuttle with vader crew.
anyone seen any interesting loadouts on them. Iv seen a mangler cannon added, thats pretty decent imo.
Omicron Group Pilot + Enhanced Scopes + Engine Upgrade is a blocker extraordinaire.
I think the Lander shuttle is a fantasticly good craft, I just think people like the new more then the old, desemators for example don't replace it, but it's much tricker to kill then a Lander without concentrated fire. Plus people atm are building lists with duriability in mind, or prefer the feel or arc dodging then trading.
Four shuttles with two Tactician on each made top four in a sc in my area.
try 4 shuttles with accuracy corrector and a 2 with APL... Its fun to block folks..lol take focus instead of TL. they still suck if somebody gets behind you. however if you space them right you can usually protect one another from that. and if sombody gets behind you try to block them and with 4 spacecows thats a bunch of space you can occupy!! and APL helps a little bit.. too bad FFG doesn't make an APL up grade that lets you do two damage for twice the cost? or something like that... They are also some of the cooler looking ships IMHO.. which is why i have a hard time flying the "space butterfly" its just odd/ugly looking..lol
Edited by SwedgeI couldn't tell you why they're not around any more, but I do know that Corran Horn destroys shuttles, the double tap is murder to their low AGL.
I played against a Krassis/Shuttle/Shuttle list at WV regionals that accounted for one of my two losses of the day.
Decimator/2 omicrons...boom baby!
Shhhhhh.....
My regional list may have a shuttle.
A shuttle list went undefeated in Swiss rounds at Tulsa regionals. It was Fel and Whisper.
Last 2 tourneys I played I had a shuttle and a Defender with some TIEs. Slightly different builds, but I enjoy the squad.
The trick is that the shuttle is the flanker ![]()
I faced two shuttle/Whisper/Fel lists at regionals on Saturday (78 people attended), and they had both won all of their games when we started our matches in rounds 4 and 5 of the swiss pairings. They're around and not doing badly, even if they're not so prominent anymore.
There was a shuttle in the list that took second at the WV regionals ![]()
The shuttle is still one of the best bangs for the buck, I find it hard to stop using it in my imperial lists.
I played shuttles in the last two store championships I went to. I ran two of them with Whisper. Right now I'm trying out a double shuttle and decimator list. I've grown very fond of putting tactician on them.
Edit: I made top 8 both times, I was very happy with them, they are such a fun challenge to fly.

I have 105 lists recorded for Top 8 Regionals. 4 of them include a shuttle, all of which used two "ace" pilots with the shuttle rounding out the list as the 3rd ship. This message sponsored by Pilots For Shuttles Anonymous.

My go-to list uses a Shuttle.
We'll see how much I tear apart Regionals and report back.
I think people are enamored with the Decimator rather than the shuttle lately.
I'm building TIE Advanced lists around Jendon.
Tourney I ran last weekend....2nd place ran 2 shuttles and a decimator
I like to pull out a shuttle list now and then in friendly games. Opponents often haven't run against a shuttle in a while and aren't prepared for it, let alone two.
