Who wants SPOILERS???

Hesekiel that can be easily explained in thinks like fighting better with an under manned crew.

When a ship takes hits, beings die, when that happens it means that there are less beings able to respond/do their jobs. A gpod commander trains his people to work harder in those situations.

Its some sort of explanation, still I am not convinced as to why this should give additional HP - and take them away once motti drops dead. Other commanders' abilities are a lot more "fluffy" to me - Tarkins a commander good at commanding, Dodonna is good at critting the weak spots, Mon mothma knows how to dodge ****. Its understandable (to a TT game degree) why this bonus ceases to exist once the guy goes down. But Motti to me just inexplanably takes all the ablative armour he was handing out fleet-wide with him to grave, because he just dont like people to survive once he did not? Aehm.. ;-)

Think of it as fleet chaos. He runs such a tight operations, micromanaging everything that when he is not there, even his ship commanders lose that extra bit of control

After seeing those Y-Wings did anyone else think to themselves "Crap, I'm going to have to drill out all those engine housings... bet I'll have to do the A-Wings too"

I wouldn't, especially on the Y-Wings. Unless you're super careful with your models and have a good storage solution. Sounds like they'd snap right off if you drilled a hole into those engines.

Man.... now you got me wanting to pull out my Table from the back of the ride. I never thought of that!!

The handy CRV table .. Didn't even realize the size. Man, i can't believe I've been driving around with a gaming table in the back of my ride without even knowing it.

While knowing it.

That looks painful and reminds me that evil evil scene from Requiem for a Dream.

Back to the topic:

Advanced Projectors are perfect card for Victory Star Dest... oh, wait... That's the carrd with huge potential, though. At least one ISD and MC30 variants will have double redirect tokens, as well as MC80. Not sure I want it on the ship with single redirect unless it's also equipped with electronic countermeasures that is a great combo, isn't it? :P;)

Flight Controllers. Great. Next.

Veteran Captain. Good in non-Tarkin lists. I like him.

Point Defense Reroute - wonderful card for Nebulon Escort Frigate! I just can't wait to... what? Oh, well... The only ship that can use it for a great impact is Assault Frigate A. Honestly, I believe the Rebels need all the squadron capacity they can get so I would almost always prefer B variant with Expanded Hangars. IMHO right now it's weak.

Director Isard - I think this card will be a must-have for experienced Imperial Players. So much information about opponent's plans just for 3 points? Bargain!

Clechu - No, thanks. I prefer every other ace.

Rhymer - OMG They really didn't nerf him! Major Rhymer's Flying Circus is coming!

Isard seems nice, but Leia can make her useless. Just depends on what your opponents run.

Don't underestimate Tycho. His ability is meh, but for only 5pts more than a regular A-Wing, you get 2 defense tokens, one of which is scatter. His value is that he's hard to kill and counters on every attempt. Throw him into a mass of TIEs to keep them engaged, burn your tokens to stay alive and deal counter damage to all of them. Worst case, you can always activate him next turn to fire some parting shots and then leave.

flight controllers is going to make gunnery team even more difficult to include :P

I thought I had it figured slapping it onto AFmk2 - As for broadside + anti-squadron. Now this thing comes out for speed 5 X-wings with counter and things get complicated again

So let me ask this, and maybe I glossed over the answer while looking at all the pretty images. Are there unique cards in either of the new expansions that would push me to buying anything rebel if I plan on only playing imperial? (or vise versa)

I don't think I've seen a single unique card that wasn't faction specific

unless you're talking about "unique" as in "only available in a certain expansion"

Yeah, like they do in X-Wing, for instance predator is only still in the defender.

Curious if they did something like that for wave 1, gently forcing me to buy a rebel scum ship just to get that *one* upgrade in it.

There we go. Thank you Wildhorn!

To be honest Gunnery Team isn't really very good for it's points. If it let you target a different hull zone of the same ship then I'd like it more, but as is the only use I can find for it is with Demolisher zipping about the place hitting things like a freight train with it's Expanded Launchers enhanced frontal firepower + Screed.

Thank you Wildhorn! While I'd like Ion Cannon Batteries and Flight Controller I feel I can live without them and still have effective Rebel builds. I don't really want to buy another Victory just for two or three cards.

ONE engine? Really?

ONE engine? Really?

I'ts a hyperbole engine. One IS enough.

I want to repaint that ASF. . .

Do we have a full list of what cards come what? Other than titles of course (would just be weird to get a Neb title in my VSD pack)

**** ... I really hoped Rhymer would be changed somewhat ... that + Demolisher is going to really suck for Rebels.

ONE engine? Really?

What do you expect? It runs on super potent fish farts.

I would like more aquatic themed names for the Assault Frigate.

Power Pufferfish?

I call it the Assault Frog, or Assault Frogger, or Assault Frogit.

Having seen the close up of the space guppy, I'm more convinced than ever before that you guys are all playing a trick on me when you talk about how good it looks. It's that Julia Roberts thing all over again.

It's not our fault your eyes are defective. You should get new ones installed. :P
