There is a picture of the card in the "who wants spoilers" thread.
The Gladiator doesn't seem much smaller than the Assault Frigate but the frigate is significantly thicker.

Can you tell us the length of the Gladiator and Assault Frigate? Is that grid in the picture inches?

Yes, those are inches. The Gladiator is almost exactly 4" whereas the Frigate is about 4 1/4" It's actually hard to tell the length of the frigate because the wings stick out a bit in the back and they aren't in-line with the front of the hull.
Edited by HedgehobbitThanks, a little smaller than I would have thought but that's okay, it gives more perspective between the bigger ships.
Man that Assault frigate is more bulbous and ugly than I thought it would be.
But it's also a huge canvas for custom painting. Can't really do that with the Empire and stay proper but the Rebels? It's going to be a blast.
I hate the assault frigate, but some shark's teeth would really snazz it up, like a P-51 sharkmouth.
Argh I just can't get over how stupid the Assault Frigate looks - maybe I'd get used to the bulbous design but what irks me the most is that it has that tiny ion engine, yet is so much more manoeuvrable than a Victory SD which has an engine block nearly 6 times the size. Doesn't make sense. If i get one I'll probably try and model a bunch of extra sublights on the back, it will still suit the aesthetic I guess.

I can't resist that idea either, in fact it was the second idea for what to do with it (The first was a goldfish scheme).

I'm pretty sure some sort of mechanism (like repulsor lift generators) in the "fins" of the assault frigate is what accounts for its maneuverability.

He he. Well I plan on painting mine orange to make it look like a goldfish.

Not the worst explanation, but it still doesn't account for the fact that the Assault frigate has a better top speed, maybe the repulsor generators in the wings also add thrust?

Second that, did the A-wing keep its Black Attack Die versus capital ships too?

Man, I love the look of the Assault Frigate. Will be very happy to drop one on the table. Also looking forward to seeing what I can do with two of them.

I love it too, but I'd love it more if it came with "Flight Controllers"

I admit that I am almost tempted to buy a 4th VSD just for a second copy of Flight Controllers. But having one VSD geared for anti-squadron and another for bomber-command might be a better setup. Hopefully we'll see Flight Controllers in with Home One.
