I did a thingy?

So I recently decided to repaint one of my Firesprays. the original plan was to be black and hot pink, but since I started with a black base, that didn't quite pan out. That's not a bad thing though, I really like the way it turned out.

It's different and I like that. Not bashing anyone's work cuz I've never seen a bad firespray repaint on here but I'm so tired of seeing Kath. Unique individual personal firesprays. That's what I like.

I'm guilty of this too (on utter purely white repaints) but, doing it this way seems to make no painting concession to the intricate detail of the model. Its really hard to shade black now isnt it? And grey or whatever on top would break that pure black look.

I found that out when doing pure white. WAs recommended to do dark blue shading. Looked blue. Hated it. Black shade looks marginally better when used extremely extremely extremely sparingly. Anything it goes over becomes a darker shade and isnt white anymore, which broke the purpose of using pure white in the first place.

Making the base layer slightly darker/greyed wouldnt be white either.

You could porbably do dark blue or dark green for highlights though
