it's hard to dance when you have both hands around your throat and your feet aren't on the ground.

Newt said Wave 1 will be arriving a the FFG warehouse on the 12th, noth the Game Stores. Expect them to be in stores 7-10 from then.

Coolstuff has them listed as available tomorrow.

Any idea how long it takes CSI to ship? I've got a preorder in with them.

I don't know. Captain Antilles seemed to get rather footloose during the occasion.

Best I could do...

Just to add to the stream of confirmations, my FLGS indicated they'd definitely have them in hand by Friday. I'm looking forward to Monday of next week and reading all of the 400pt combat reports. :)

I know this won't stop people from doing it, but the tournament build total isn't supposed to be 400 until wave 2.

Ahem, these men would like to have a word with you:

Anyone else checking email more often hoping the shipping notice came through?

I've noticed that there is no Armada stuff on the Esdevium list for next week (week commencing the 11th May). Does that mean a delay for the UK?

There just seems something wrong with the image of a man dancing and holding his sword. :P

I called my LGS a couple minutes ago - they don't expect it for a couple weeks still.

Weird thing it was showing On the Boat 3 hours ago for me.

Now as fantastic as this is this means that unless FFG shipped to the distributors last week it means that the product is on a truck heading to the Venders. Then the Venders send out the product to the stores. So depending on how far those trucks travel and when a Venders scheduled delivery day is will effect how long it will get to your store. Now if FFG just didn't change its status last week then we may start seeing them out this week soon.

As happy as I am about it heading our way I am still not holding my breath for a release date this week. But we may be lucky.

For future reference, the word you're looking for instead of vendors is Distributors. The vendors are the ones you purchase from directly.

I'd guess we'll see it Thursday this week in the US.(Or at least at my store, where everything hits on Thursdays.)

Yeah you're right on the Distributor definition. My place of work deals with both but my department has a lot of Venders coming through so it's the first one that came to mind. Derpy Derp.

My LGS buys from esdevium and they are saying that esdevium are expecting it tomorrow... but until they get hands on it, I take nothing for granted.

Confirmation came to late to Esdevium for their release sheet. They still expect it tomorrow, in stores by end of week.

Step 1: Take paycheck
Step 2: Apply flamethrower
Step 3: PLASTIC SHIPS!!!!!!

I'm really tempted to rush to my FLGS and lay down my plastic for another couple of expansions to get the 15% discount just before they arrive. I think that having 2 (rather than 1) Gladiators and 2 (rather than 1) pack of Imperial fighters might be more necessity than luxury as we bump up to 300 points.

I don't think you wll be sorry (in game not wallet terms) with picking up those extras.

I'm in the "Two of everything" boat to try and see how the game works at the "real" level.

I've seen a few interesting TIE combinations I want to try out, and would like to give an Imperial small ship list a go (might need Raiders for that too thought)

So many options opening up.

I really like, at least in theory, two gladiator lists. If that helps.

The idea is, if I do it quickly, my wallet will like me better, because I'll get the pre-order discount. So, yeah, I think my FLGS will be seeing my happy mug this evening. :D

As an exclusive Empire player, I'm going to try to avoid buying anything Rebel. I hope that none of their cards are going to be must-haves, or exclusive to those expansions.

I'm coming around to that as well, especially at the 180pnt level. My community will be doing an escalation league here real shortly, which will gradually take us from 180 to 300. Two gladiators will play VERY differently than 1 VSD does.

I feel ya. I'm already stuck with a Neb-B and CR90 plus 4 X Wings.....

From what I've seen so far though from the preview shots,it's a pretty decent mix. If by Wave 3 there is anything that I feel is extremely needed I might go the eBay route...

Looking at the wiki, I don't think there are any upgrades that are going to be must-buys among the Rebels, that I won't find among the Imperial expansions or in the Core Set. Of course, the whole list of upgrades is not yet known. It'll be interesting to learn what we don't yet know about what's in the expansions.
