Great review man!!!
The only thing is...That now I think I'll get the game. For sure.
And That's your fault too.
I hate you, Man.
;-)
Thanks. LOL You won't regret it. It's extremely fun.

I know you've already explained it, in some ways...But I have a couple of very simple questions for you:
1- Is it a fast game? I don't like short games...I like reasoning and mind blows in destructive strategic situations (i.e. infamous control decks, so to say ;-) )
2- I was thinkin'...I'm afraid it is a game where yeah, you have lots of possibilities, but in the end, the most convenient thing is to attack and destroy...I don't know if you get may "paranoia"...Some deep strategic card games risk to end up in a "creature, attack, your turn" cycle because of some lack in strategic elements. Do you noticed something like this in the core set?
Thanks a lot, man!
I understand what you're worried about, DB Cooper. By the way, where have you been since jumping outta that plane, anyway?
1. I'd say that the game length will always depend, of course, on your opponent and the way your deck matches up with theirs - however, I wouldn't say this is an overly short game but I can't say that it's TOO long, either. From my perspective, having played a bunch of games at this point, it seems just right. You'll have the occasional quicker game (20-30 minutes) but you can also have these amazing, and longer, knock-down, drag-out battles. It's really cool.
2. I think that having a 2nd victory condition - running out of cards rule - means that people won't just focus on attacking to win. The fact that you can target their production Zones (Kingdom for Resources and Quest for Cards) means that there are many different ways to throttle your opponent while going for the win yourself.
Hope these answers help you.

Ok, you ruined me. ;-)
I'll get this f....n' game.
Just to point out...I've just read the rules and ask some questions...I'm not trying to find flaws at all costs, as it might seem...It's just that I want to understand it well...It's the first game that I live since it's first birthday ;-)
And I wanna get the chance to understand it.
So...
The 2 questions came out from a couple of game concpet I worried about: 8 hit points can be a lot as well as nothing...That's the reason why I thought that most of the time the best choice seems "Attack as fast as you can"...Sometimes, spending resources on a Quest or waiting for a developement to work can be a lost turn in a "strategic-war game" concept.
But I trust you and understand you're explanations, thanks.
Everything you might add is welcome ;-)
Bye
Well you are allowed to place a development once per turn (in only one Zone that turn of your choice) so it doesn't take away from making an Attack, should you choose. There are other cards that allow you to do damage and chip away directly at Capital Zones, too, so that helps.
And when ONE UNIT can soak several damage on your capitol. its not too tough to slap down some last ditch back up. Toss ina card from your hand, and that'll usually (usually) save you a turn. Though they could just attack another zone... crazy simple game.
Taking another look...
I wonder if it'll be a game where the "usual deck" is the classic "3x everything" archetype or if we're going to see another AGoT like game (which I prefer) where, in lots of cases, you see the "more possibilities/less copies" style ;-)
There are some cards for any given faction most players will want x3 but I do think that a lot of cards will only appear in a deck x2 and some you'll want to have the possibility of drawing but don't feel that they will need to be there more than x1. Big Bad Heroes and Daemons come to mind.
This game is deep. The three locations cause some very interesting tactical decions and certain deck design strategies that mimic themulti challenge types seen in AGoT.
