what would people think of this kind of lit and what would you field with a single IG?

I kind of have a gut reaction vs Headhunters, but [40] IG-88B, Mangler seems like it'd be interesting

Firespray is pretty fun with it, I bet Hounds Tooth will be interesting, bugzapper z's seems solid, IG seems pretty versatile even solo.

I'd probably run B with the usual. Predator, AT, AdvSen, Mangler. Then either a bunch of Zs or Boba.

I was talking to a friend about this build a few days ago. IG-88B with a Bugzapper brigade. You slow roll up the middle and have Iggy bump the Z's to stay behind and blast away with his primary/secondary attacks. Then you just bug zap anything that gets close. If this could actually be viable, it might prompt FFG to get off their sloven duffs and fix intentional bumping.

I went up against IG-B with HLC/Advance Sensors and 4 Zs and he did exactly that. Used Zs to block and bumped with IG to keep it at range 3. Very effective.

The best thing about IG is the title. So I would have to say anything other than another IG is a fail.

One of the 186th made top 4? at MK with IGB and 4z's, I actually think a single IG and support is better then brobots, as you can get around some of the weakness of the agressor.

I've had good success (well in a couple of games) running IG88B with ptl, adv sensors, HLC, autothrusters and inertial dampeners alongside Boba Fett with VI, tactician, indertial dampeners and engine upgrade.

The best thing about IG is the title. So I would have to say anything other than another IG is a fail.

Honestly, I'd start with the stat-line, going down to natural boost (thrusters), then the cannon + system slot, then IG-88B, and then (maybe) the title

though really, part of the point of paying for sensors is the amount of positioning opportunity it opens up and blocking yourself is part of that flexibility.

I have had a lot of success with iggy b, PTL, Mangler, FCS, AT, and dampeners paired with 4 z-95's.

I once got iggy popped early and had the 50 points of Z kill 100 points of enemy.

I would agree, I think it adds an interesting element of gameplay without taking away from anything, unlike some of the other common complaint points such as turrets, which just kind of exist and don't add much deeper value.

I suppose adding "dice" could constitute a deeper value for the deranged mind

as for the IG intentional block, he pays for it. The loss of the title is the least of it, Zs just clutter up the board for the big guy. What he gains in road-blocks he loses in open space to maneuver, and when he's limited to a single-arc things can go wrong very quickly (especially considering how stiff the Zs are, they won't just roll out of your way like the more considerate tie fighters)
