Deck Idea - Erestor/Merry :energy:

By Courchevel, in Strategy and deck-building

Here is a new idea to use new Erestor and new Merry (spirit) Heroes.

The deck is a support deck for playing in 3-4 players game . And of course, it is a secrecy deck.

Heroes :

Erestor-Merry (16)

The Engine : 6

3 Resourceful

3 Leaf Brooch

The Army : 11

3 Celduin Traveller

3 Ithilien Ranger

3 Galdhrim Weaver

1 Arwen

1 Quickbeam

The Tactic : 9

3 Risk some lights

3 Out of the wild

3 Gildor Counsel

The support : 18

3 Lembas

1 Earendil Song

1 cloak of Lorien

2 Fast Itch

1 Healing Herbs

1 Light of Valinor

1 Asfaloth

3 Ranger spike

2 Galadrim's Greetings

3 Elrond's counsel

The Recursion : 6

3 Dwarven tomb

3 Will of the West

The first turns is mainly equipment material with Leaf Brooch and Resourceful then, you maintain secrecy via Merry and Elrond's Counsel. You benefit from Erestor ability having 4 cards per turns trying to minimize the number of cards from encounter via Gildor Counsel and the threat of mate via Galadrim Greeting and Earendil song.

Then you recycle via will of the west.

Interesting deck idea. Doesn't look like it will do much for combat, but it's good support. I think any deck with Erestor and hobbits should include Good Meal. Good Meal + Leaf Brooch = free Galadhrim's Greeting.

Where was Spirit Merry spoiled?

Good deck idea...

I agree teamjimby, however you need to have active cards, i guess such deck can maintain a good support to a three or four players table.

May be good meal can be a good addition. There is other potential card, like Hennamarth, good meal, hobbit pipe.

Basically, the deck should be able to provide a ranger spike or a gildor counsel per turn, justifying a cancelation of one encounter card per turn.
