Diablo Azul's Shipyard "wave 1" has now been updated to module v. 2.1.7 standard.

To do list:
- the ships now have correct (bright green) arc lines, but there are also some grey ones that you'll just have to ignore until I get it fixed*
- squadrons are a bit colorless, so I think I need to add some color**
- the custom upgrade cards have text on them, which is a little hard to read given the pixel count, so could be I'll increase their size slightly to compensate
* Do you like the bright green lines better than the original grey ones? Feel free to give me feedback!

I have been a little out of sorts as of late with a heavy work schedule. Sorry for the long out of touch. Where are we at with the Clone Wars? What can I do to help get it into the printed format?
Edited by Wes JansonI believe DA is still on hiatus, so I don't think he's worked on it at all - I could be entirely mistaken. I haven't touched clone wars, yet - I figure I should let the experts bring it out of alpha, first.
I got one 300 pt game in with a large Venator and medium Acclamator + squadrons vs proxies of a Large Providence & medium Munificent + squadrons. The Venator mauled the Providence at long range, but lost in the end do to heavy fighter support and the brutal broadside of the Providence. The Acclamator was able to take down the Munificent, but ended up down to half damage.
We didn't have time to finish the game, but the sheer number of CIS squadrons had me wishing I had taken all the Jedi just to counter them. Anakin was worth his weight, but Obi Wan failed me as a commander.
Though it may be I didnt use him correctly.

I agree that some of the official craft may have been great to go this route, but I was thinking along the lines of the custom offerings that are currently not represented in this fashion. Speculation time!

The Braha'Tok, the DP-20, the Action IV, the Consular Cruiser, the Mobquet and the Suprosa are small enough to be Flotillas. And obviously the other two Gozantis.
For the future, the Hammerhead corvette, the Scout Craft, the Xiytiar Transport, the crusader corvette...
Braha'tok model is already great for Flotilla size. Based on the 3D render art for the current ones.
Can there be a CR90 and raider flotilla?
If you have a Cr90 Flotilla, what will you do to make it 'worthwhile'?
Double Dice in every Arc, Double Shields, Double Hull, Flotilla Rule, Add a Scatter Token?
Then points it at Double, assuming that Flotilla gives you the points for Scatter?
I'm just not sure if its worth an 80-odd point ship is all...
If its only going to be, say, 1 extra attack die on each and some extra shields or hull, would it still be worth it as a 60-odd point ship model?
Its an option, I guess... But I think it may be better off overall spending energy working out other ships, like the Braha'tok as listed, rather than trying to thematically run Flotillas of CR90s against Regular CR90s
But then, Its my opinion - and I don't want to stop someone who comes up with a great idea for it

I think the best answer is somewhere in the middle. The Braha'Tok, the DP-20, the Action IV, and the Consular Cruiser are closer in size to the CR90 than the Gozanti. The Mobquet, Suprosa and dozens of EU ships are closer in size to the Gozanti. From there a case could be made for combat ship vs transport to be the deciding factor for anything in the middle. You could even use the old WEG Capital Scale/Starfighter Scale designation as the cutoff. The size split will work for most, but you will have oddball ships like the Customs Corvette that was a 180 meter long Starfighter Scale ship, because of its fragile construction compared to true Capital Ships.

I had a similar idea. Keep the 2 evades, use a scatter for the redirect. Maybe one or two extra die at the front with 1 for every other side. Bit more shields and health. Put it on a medium base maybe?
Even though I don't see a need for it, I want the smaller ships to be in groups cause it looks awesome. All I did was take the CR90/Raider put 2 smaller models on a stand, and called it a flotilla. Otherwise I changed nothing at all. So all it becomes is a flotilla instead of a small ship. No scatter because I don't feel it needs it. We can also assume that flotillas may not be exclusive to no redirects in future, just the current ones presented. The ship already has stats that work, so I just now assume it represents several ships instead of the one. As for a points deduction it would be not a problem in my mind to leave it the same.
So in the end this becomes a very small rules change to the existing ship to satisfy my model urge.

I'd leave it on the small base. Part of my thinking is to make as few changes as possible, so that FFG (or Mel's Minis) could easily "retrofit" the existing models.
My first thought was, as you indicated, simply swap out redirect for the scatter, but that produces two issues for me. First, scatter is WAY more valuable than redirect, so balance is getting tilted a bit. Secondly, a ship with two evades and a scatter is going to be very, VERY hard to lay any fire on. Particularly with Mon Mothma flying her flag.
I think dropping to one scatter and one evade is a pleasing middle point.

Any chance we can get Vader in his Eta2? Also what's the status on the imperial Venator?
I imagine the imperial Venator won't be much different from the republic version.

It basically merges DA's Anakin Eta with the FFG Vader. You could try this for now.
