Hey guys, I'm trying to finalize my list for my local store championship and I wanted some input on what would be the best ship I could get for my remaining points.

The list I usually fly has been:

2 Blue Squadron + Adv. Sensors

Biggs

Tarn + R7

However recently I swapped out Tarn and the Adv sensors (Fire controls instead) and tossed in Jake Farrell with PTL+VI and Refit.

This has of course gotten me wondering what would be the best use of 28 or 25 pts in a rebel list.

I might stick with Jake [adding autothrusters] (28 pts) and then use 3 B's with FCS (24 each), but I'm just tossing this out there to see if anyone has a suggestion for a different higher PS ship that can fit with 28 or fewer pts and still be competitive. I really liked that my list above had 4 x 25pt ships on it, that was great for MOV concerns; the list just didn't have that one or two high PS ship that can make a difference in a match.

I dunno, that list seems pretty solid.

27/28 pts is a tough spot for rebels. They haven't got anything there that packs a good punch. Jake @ 28 pts is weak. He needs PtL + outmanoeuvre, or otherwise proton rockets to be worth it, imo.

How about:

Gold w/ title, ion turret & R3-A2

Gold w/ title, ion turret & r5

Biggs w/ R4-D6

Tarn w/ R7

Its not more firepower, but the control element might keep Biggs alive for a long time...

the classic BBB + ? list is

Blue Squadron w/FCS (Times 3)

Jake w/Outmanuever & PTL (refit, title)

the decision to swap a FCS for thrusters is a difficult one

jakes without outmanuever, though, is imo nowhere near worth it

28 points is a very rough spot for every single faction. Scum basically has nothing of worth (Scyks), Empire has V.I + thrusters Thur, rebes have Jakes.

you could also go for another FCS Blue Squadron (really difficult to find something with similar damage output with even remotely the same price) and add things like int agent or flechette cannon

at a recent regional and placed in top8. i like his list. Good to see Biggs being played again.

His list has got me thinking whether the following would actually work...

4x Blue Squadron Pilot/Title/Tactician (25)

seems pretty solid. every list is impacted by stress, even those not geared to abuse it with cards like Push the Limit.

except for tycho but not really a competitive pilot
