Tutorial: make your own R2 astromech units

By Nachofante, in X-Wing

Hi everybody! Greetings from Spain. This is my first post here. I apologise for any mistakes in my English. Hope you like it.

Tutorial for making your own R2 astromech units for X-Wing Miniatures game. Note that final miniatures are slightly bigger than the right scale, in order to be more detailed (5mm high).

Great work on the droids and especially on the Dioramas :D Now I want to build some myself ^^

Great stuff :)... Where is your AT-AT from?

It looks like one of the old Action Fleet AT-ATs with a re-paint.

Thanks for the replies!

Dwing, RebelSteve is right. Its a Micromachines Action Fleet repaint, following this idea from TUZ.

This is my own version, using a template from melminiatures as base.

RougeLeader: I thougth the same when I saw this post from MacrossVF1, and decided make my own terrain piece for X-Wing.

Holy space cows!! That YT-1300 look like it could do the Kessel Run in 6 parsecs!!

That YT is so cool. Is that your work?

These are images from my Blog. The YT is a proxy conversion made from two plastic Revell kits (a Falcon and parts from a Jedi Interceptor). The complete entry.
