I like to think that they have enough glitterstim that the hound's tooth is entirely full of it, and when it explodes everyone hallucinates that a z95 comes out of it.

Even though it's no longer "officially" canon (EU will always be to me), there's no reason to assume glitterstim doesn't have a digital component. I mean, it's from a crystalline web designed to catch bioluminescent sprites and trap that energy for consumption by the invisible spider that creates it.... Is it too big of a stretch from there to imagine that some of its light sensitive reaction occurs digitally and can affect droids. Crystals are by nature very good conductors.
I think it's more likely that most droids would be uninterested in glit due to there inherent programmed functions therefore reducing the number and occurrences of self-aware, free thinking inorganics tempted into a glit biting habit.
"We don't serve their kind in here! ...but it's happy hour down at C-U4X's two doors down."
Are you suggesting that robots can't get wired?
