VERY real and pertenent concerns about Wave 7

By ficklegreendice, in X-Wing

Hey guys,

sorry if this has been brought up before, but I was just thinking about something in wave 7 that might break Star Wars as we know it.

No, it's not turrets. It's Glitterstim.

As we all know, Glitterstim is an illict upgrade.

As we also know, Aggressors have an illict upgrade slot.

...is FFG telling us that Robots can do drugs?

Are you suggesting they can't just because they're robots? Racist.

My computer has a serious problem with cocaine

Actually if you dig into the EU glitterstim does give off some sparks when eaten. Totally fine if robots get a little tingle.

Well Bender has shown us they can have alcoholism, so... Probably.

the only example we have to make for this argument is Bender.

*totally got sniped!*

Bender was an alcoholic because he was literally fueled by alcohol. Did you see the one where he went sober? That wasn't pretty.

IG-88 is a bounty hunter. Therefore, he is likely to have bounties on board. So perhaps he is forcing a captive to take glitterstim and using the knowledge gained from the captive's clairvoyance to hit or evade.

[Yes, it's convoluted and I'm not buying it either, but it is one explanation.]

GS is going to compete hard for Dampeners on my IG lists.

Robots on space-crack was one of my first thoughts about wave 7, and I was sold immediately.

I wouldn't put glitterstim on IG-88 anyway

You must be high.

How expensive it glitterstim?

First one's always free...

It is silly. It is also awesome. And lastly, maybe he has digital glitterstim instead. Thunk of it like an overclock program called Cracked Out.

I bet they can virtually simulate the effect of Glitterstim!

The colors! The contrasts!

Yeah - it can seriously jam your keyboard if you spill it

i approve of the way this thread is going

Funny. But I've heard of more obtuse explanations. Why not yours?

This is the same way that 40k poison weapons effect Necrons. The in game answer is usually a special technology that messes up Necrodermis.

IG88 just plugged a USB dongle with windows ME into his rear socket.

Everyone here is so sapienormalist... Robots can do drugs if they want to.
