My CSS-1 "Senator Shuttle", ready for our next game night. Could have been better, but meh... it's done.
Colors: All Citadel paints.
Red- Scab Red with a little black to bring it down.
White- Skull White
Yellow- Averland Sunset
Grey- Dawnstone
Lining- 30% Nuln Oil, 30% Abaddon Black, 40% water
Primed with cheap Wall-Mart Flat Black (the blue can). This helped fill a lot of the roughness from the 3D print process. The results are similar to painting old pewter.
1) I painted the red first using multiple layers until most of the entire model was covered (minus engine nozzles and exhausts).
2) I lined the whole model to bring out all the details.
3) Gave the whole model a quick Screaming Skull + Scab Red drybrush to bring out some of the detail
4) Painted all the white using multiple thin layers.
5) Hand painted on all the yellow markings and panels, as well as the engine effects.
6) Finished the engine exhausts and gave them a quick white drybrush to bring out their detail. Also gave them a nuln-oil wash.
