Someone care to explain this for those of us not privy to Huge Ship rules? Does the Decimator get straight-up destroyed, or?
Aye.
When a huge ship executes a maneuver and the final position of one of its sections overlaps one or more small or large ships, the small or large ships overlapped by the huge ship are immediately destroyed and the huge ship completes its maneuver. The huge ship does not skip its “Perform Action” step.
Really, at that point all you can do...
I haven't really played Epic but, correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't the Epic ship move after all the others? So the Deci could get out of the way?

From the dials on the table, looks like the decimator just moved and the tantive has not yet revealed its dial
