Any recommendations for stats of Police Patrol cruisers? Book its in would be great ![]()
What role are you looking for? Cruiser? Bike? Paddy wagon?
All three actually. The session finished last time outside of a Security Station. I get the feeling they are going to steal a vehicle and I'm expecting a chase scene, as they flee to their destination in the starport in order to get back to their ship. They have no transport, people are looking for them, and they are on a time frame to rescue a contact before he gets shipped off to who-knows-where.
I was planning to have two cruisers, a paddy wagon and 5 bikes out the front. Gives them choice of what they want to use.

Good suggestion, but I think keeping it simple for the chase. They may be joined by a couple more during the chase.
Sure keep it simple. but be prepared. Better to have the sergeant and not need them than to need the sergeant and not have them. Just put everything in your holocron. You will reuse them in the future.

I would give the sergeant one of those talents that give others in their party an extra action.
Actually that's something that the Order 66 didn't mention in the Podcast about NPC Creation - special abilities.

Minions (rookies): Ranged (light), Brawl, Planetary (drive) Pilot (planetary).
Sergeant (veteran): Above plus Vigilance, Streetwise, Leadership, Perception.
Detective: As Sergeant, but increase Streetwise, Perception, then add Coercion or Charm. I suppose the Coercion stereotype should win out for a game.
I chose only Brawl to keep the number of skills down. You could easily replace it with Melee. For the Sergeant you could also add Ranged (heavy) or if wanting to keep the number of skills down save it for special response (SWAT) police.

When you get a bunch of them in one place, telling people to 'move along', 'disperse' and 'come out with your hands up' is basically what they're good at. That said, I'd probably drop Brawl. They should be suppressing people with their truncheons, not their fists. I'd also just give them heavy clothing rather than padded armor unless these are cops who regularly do foot patrols in bad parts of town.
I'd also consider giving the Sgt. Athletics for chasing runners and Pilot (Planetary) for vehicle chases.
This is a war-torn world. Best description of the world I have given my players is Earth in Elysium, with a mix of Judge Dredd (from the latest film). They are close to riot police, but not quite.

Coercion is very good for those detectives or whatevers to use in interrogations though. A Rival or Nemesis skill.

I like it. But I do have a thought or two. Get rid of the mods (keep the 3 HP though) but add the increases(sensor range, +2 Hull Trauma, etc) to the stats anyways and increase the base price and rarity. After all this is a police model built from the ground up for police work. As this is a prisoner transport vehicle, I wonder if 1 point of Armor wouldn't be too much to add to further increase the durability. I would also increase to the crew to 2: 1 pilot, 1 riding Shotgun whether its a droid or an organic lifeform.
I would also include what it takes to escape the prisoner area. IE probably a daunting skulduggery check. Also the crew would include the pilot and the guard who bother ride in the front separate from the prisoners.

The way I see it is that vehicles of this type (unless it was a completely different model - which is a possibility) would be that these hardpoints are available to make them customisable. It would be easy enough to create the A-P4 Dray Light Speeder Truck, but just never considered creating an entire new vehicle.

This is what I was thinking. Rather than modifying the vehicle just have the values you want as a Police Model of that vehicle. Think the Police Interceptors that were built on the Ford Crown Victoria model.
