You have to stay in formation. Strong alpha strikes on Biggs too early in the game will destroy the whole synergy.
Pro:
Corran is a BEAST. Biggs helps to negate the disadvantage of Expose. Airen gives Corran a second action either Expose or target lock.The Assault Missiles and the high pilot skill enable even Airen to do a bit of damage and probably zone mass lists. The Ion Torpedoes also help to prevent enemy grouping. Corran can get target lock in 3 different ways: His own actions, Airen or Fire-Control System. So its well possible that Corran gets two attacks on range 1 with 5 dice and target lock. The maneauvers of the 3 ships are pretty similar so its possible to stick together.
