Accurate trait questions

Quick clarification...

  1. When a weapon is accurate do the benefits (+10 to hit if aiming, +1d10 dam for every 2 degs of succ) kick in after a half action aim (+10) or do they need a full action aim (+20)?
  2. Also do accurate weapons that are Pistols/Exotic get the extra damage? RAW (which include errata p8) say no.

I'd personally say to get extra damage you'd have to aim for a round. However I'd allow Pistols/Exotic weapons to do the extra damage if the circumstances say the aimer could aim for a vital spot.

Any thoughts or advice?

RAW, the bonuses kick in after a half action aim and are for Basic weapons only, although you could (and probably should) make an exception for basic-sized exotics.

For home-brewed rules, my group decided to allow accuracy for pistols but only at close range, which is usually under 18m for most of them.
