While I love all the bomber and tie advance love coming soon I've been wondering, what other ships will we see to expand the salvaged astromech slot? From the wave 7 preview there are plenty of illicit upgrades coming sure, but I'm very interested in how they will expand the slot. Are there any other well knownish scum ships in the EU that could have a salvage astromech slot? If there was what could we expect to see out of them?
Will we see more salvaged astromech ships?
If/when FFG releases another ship that uses Astromechs is when we'll probably see more Salvaged Astromechs.
Aside from the E, X, and Y Wings the only ships I'm seeing that use them are some of the Clone Wars era stuff.
If/when they do a Jumpmaster 5000 (Dengar's ship, the Punishing One), that will likely have a salvaged astromech slot.
The Jumpmaster 5000 aka Punishing One is a likely candidate. I was surprised it didn't come out before Bossk in the Bus, precisely because of the salvaged astro ship shortage.
Jumpmaster, Dunelizard and possible Ship Modification Card / Title for a Headhunter there are lots of possibilities still for Astromechs.
The Punishing One is a likely candidate since we saw it in Armada wave II. Downside is Dengar's the only known pilot, and the ship class itself would win "Dumbest ship name" by a long margin. On the plus side, it could be the first ship to have a (salvaged) astromech and a crew slot, and it could be another small ship with a turret primary if FFG liked how the K-wing worked.
Ah well those sound fun, good to know there are some prospective candidates

FFG seems to have little problems in finding 2 or 3 cannonatical names for pilots.
So, we are gonna see a dunelizard?
Wouldn't the Jumpmaster be a large ship?

The ships I can think of with an astromech 'slot':
- X-wing
- Y-wing
- E-wing
- V-wing
- Jumpmaster 5000
- N-1 Starfighter
- Delta-7
- Eta-2
Can't think of any others off-hand?
The future X-wing, but that's probably a wave 9 ship, so it'll be a while before we see it.

ARC-170, a modification for the Z-95 also existed in EU. Various "Uglies" but we know those aren't coming.
The Punishing One might come with a single salvaged astro card. It's astro was rigged up to fire the turret on the wing. Maybe the astro it comes with provides a turret slot? That'd be useless to the Y-Wing. Could make your primary weapon a turret but then the Y-Wing is very similar to the K-Wing. The astro slot was not a standard offering on the JM 5000. It was Dengar's customization. And for those that say the name is silly, it doesn't look as bad when you shorten it to just JM 5000.
The Alpha-3 Nimbus V-Wing had a weird spherical astro, so we'll see if that includes a slot or not.
The Delta-7 truncates it's astros for loading. Easy enough to use the Delta-7B to avoid confusion.

It's in the same size group as the aggressor and the Starviper. So... It might need to be a large ship since fitting into the $20 packaging might not work.Wouldn't the Jumpmaster be a large ship?
The Jumpmaster 5000 is as long as the shuttle. It will definitely be on a large base. It will be the Scums turreted ship if they release it.
