So who's actually winning atm?

Void King > Astrid (I'd hope).

Cobra Clutch + King of the Ring = smaller handsize, MAC stops as much draw as it possibly can, Ka Technique blanks stuff. Just a thought? =/

its just a speed bump. Even with hand reduction, astrid has so much great card draw that you arent going to want to be setting up twist combos early. Rather, you want to be racing her asap as the more relentless/paying respect/distress she gets into play, the harder it becomes for you to win. Plus the hand lock is SUPER slow. Something you cant do against astrid or any fire deck in this format. Besides, all she has to do is block your high throw and pommel/first rite you on reversal to turn off the rest of your turn.

We have tested the matchup a lot as im probably going to be bumping into that viking bihotch a lot at sas.

After I get my Paul deck finished playing astrid will be fun! Paul is one tough SOB and he can really dish out some long waited back handing on her! I cant wait to get my revenge on Astrid after she made a mockery of my poor Dan deck!!

Astrid has won all of our events so far for block 4. James hata is doing well and so is Brian, steve, and Rashotep.

What else is new?

*sigh*

Bleh - I eat Astrid's for breakfast! As mentioned in another post I have dedicated a lot of time to answering Astrid... She is definately the most consistent character atm, I think King is pretty close though, especially with some of his own support and Path.

Hmmm....

Technically yes but arent the city championships coming up in a month or 2?

Yeah shes crazy. Mark of the beast, Launcher, dragons Flame all +4 speed if u have a lifter in hand. or wheel kick - dragon lifter + fire damage pump = game turn 2 sometimes. this is all ive done for the past 2 months

Yes, but if you're Hatman, you ignore everything between Canadian Nationals, and the Next Canadian Nationals. </poke bear with stick>

Our last few tourneys have been small, but top contenders are Astrid, Bryan Fury, Ragnar, and Paul.

However, we tried some test games this week with Bryan Fury replacing Ragnar in Judas' Ragnar deck. This made the deck (throws and damage boosts) faster. And it STILL lost 2 out of 2 games to Death Padma running a mix of Ragnar, Kazuya, Rashotep, and Nina support.

Rawr. :3

Store Championships were "officialized" (meaning we know prize support is available rite nao and we can register them) AFTER I made my post. We still have no idea what will be the prizes for the City Championships nor when they will be officially available for registration. It's not registered = It's not happening at this time.

at our local i have goten 2 straight second places runing fire hilde. everyone else still plays b3, and i still managing to fend off the walls of negation and smash face.

The blocks aren't 'that' different competitive deck-wise (old top compete vs. new top). I'm glad you are proof of what I've hypothisized for a while now.

It's somewhat different. I doubt my decks could face-shiv as easily as they could in B4.
