Concerning Juno's manouver color...

By Whiteorca, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I posted it before on another thread, but I think it qualifies as a separate question.

If I understand the logic behind Juno's "improved" dial chart correctly, the color of the manouver that you set on your dial carries over to the new manouver when her ability is applied. If you set a 1 bank manouver (green) on the dial it may become a 2 bank (green). But if you set a 2 bank (white) on the dial, would it become a 1 (white)? (3 straight and 4 straight are in a similar case).

Or should the "improved" chart be taken as is, and thus ignore the apparent ambiguity?

The color of the chosen maneuver carries over.

If you show a White 3, you cannot perform a Green 2.

Every maneuver consists of 3 parts: Speed, Bearing, and Difficulty. Effects can change any of those individually, change multiples of them, or cause you to choose a new maneuver on the dial (which replaces all three).

When it comes to turning with Juno you set a speed 2 turn so you can go faster or slower if needed.

When Juno banks you set it to a 1 bank if you want to do a green with the 2 bank option or you set it as a white 2 bank if you want freedom the choose the speed.

For the straights Juno needs to be a little closer although I think 2 and 4 are the target speeds there; a straight 2 is green and can go down to 1 or up to 3 while the 4 is white but faster letting you do the 3 or the 5.

If Juno wants to k-turn there's still just one option.

It almost seems like Juno's dial can be a lot smaller as it seems 9 maneuvers can be converted into the fullest dial in the game.

When it comes to turning with Jan you set a speed 2 turn so you can go faster or slower if needed.

When Jan banks you set it to a 1 bank if you want to do a green with the 2 bank option or you set it as a white 2 bank if you want freedom the choose the speed.

Juno, not Jan.

5 months apart.

Fixed.

What I get for posting when tired. Start mixing up the video game female sidekicks who happen to be great pilots.
