X-Wing Freeplay

Our space is always open for your X-Wing needs. Stop by and set up a game with friends! Employees on duty can teach you how to play, but otherwise are unavailable, except under special circumstances.
the best times to stop by are Fridays after 5pm and Sundays before 6pm.

X-Wing Tournaments

Friday the 8th: Hunger Games
Join us for a Hunger Games tournament. Rules are available here.
Thank you to Bernie of SF-Bay area X-Wing for maintaining the rules.
Games will consist of 1 round, with last man standing receiving $15 store credit.

Sunday the 10th: 100pt

Join us for a standard 100pt tournament beginning at 2pm. Bring your favorite list and fight it out for a chance at $20 store credit. 3 rounds, 75 minutes a round.

Friday the 22nd: Deathmatch

Join us at 7pm for Aces Deathmatch.
Bring a single ship build up to 33pts. The game is timed at 90 minutes. Tables of up to 8 players will dog fight, re-spawning each time they die to rejoin the fight. Earn points for kills and assists, lose points for dying and suicide. Person with the highest points at the end of the game gets $25 store credit per table. Second highest gets $15, third place get $10.
Points are as follows:
Kills +3 (Landing the killing blow on a ship)

Assists +1 (placing at least 1 damage on a ship before it is destroyed by another player)

Deaths -1 (being destroyed by another player or critical card)
Suicide -2 (Flying over an asteroid, off the board, or by an effect you control)

Any chance of getting these added to the Google Calendar that has area tournaments and events on it? The bay area facebook group has details about how to get events up (I don't know them, otherwise I'd just tell you how it works).

Question about the hunger games rules (I'll ask this in the doc too):

3. Upgrade cards can be loaded onto ANY ship, even if it's not normally legal for your ship.

Does this apply only to upgrades pick up during play, or is it also in effect for picking your initial 30 points of ship? Could I show up with an Alpha Sq. Interceptor with an HLC and Gunner?

It only applies to upgrades you pick up during play, so far as I've heard it run.

I work at the shop in question, and the Raider is slated for a May release through my distributer.

Of course, FFG could always push it back.
