It was in a news article that FFG posted by accident earlier today. They removed it within ~10 minutes of it going live.

If anyone grabbed a copy of the new FAQ while it was up, could I have a copy?

It's also possible that they spoil it next week and the Raider comes out the week after that!

Dock strike, no dock strike FFG is terrible at predicting release dates. Even when they are closing in on the release date they drag their feet on updating their website.

Dock workers where locked out because of demands for more money. They got locked out because of their demands. Truckers also went on strike, due to unfair fees on leases and other cost. Most truckers were getting less than minimum wage, after all the fees were taken into account. This whole big labor union stuff is putting a cramp in my X-Winging.

They were locked out apparently because it was a holiday period (where you have to pay workers who come in more) so they accused the workers of conducting a slowdown and locked them out.

Apparently this has annoyed the rail companies so much they're threatening to embargo the dock companies.

These docks need to pay their goddamn workers rather than trying to give them as little as they can. They're raking it in already, hopefully their greed will come back to bite them.

If you recall, the Rebel epic ships didn't show "on the boat" status nearly as long as other releases have. I think the Rebel Transport was only "on the boat" for 11 days or so. The Raider could still easily be here during Q2.

Not so. They announced at GAMA that they've started actually manufacturing all six packs in an LCG cycle simultaneously to stop having delays within the cycles. Once the first pack comes out, the other five should follow every four weeks or so without delays.

I'm starting to think this whole stealth release thing is actually possible. Armada Wave 1 comes out next Tuesday and FFG's siet still lists it as on the boat, so they are definetly hiding information from us.

We first heard about Armada Wave I release through distributors telling stores it was on its way. Now everyone practically expects it next week, even though its technically not official.

I would assume we'd hear about the Raider the same way....thus spoiling it's stealth. Unless some people think that Raiders will just show up with Wave I Armada??

FFG was burnt on the dock worker strike. They promised to deliver and couldn't do to forces outside of their control. Do you think that FFG is concerned about this with the Raider? Do you think they might not change the status as they are worried about various delays? Is it possible that they are already shipping the Raider and plan on just popping it in stores quite suddenly? You know, the over perform instead of over sell.

Is it possible that the Imperial Raider could come out before Gencon? Maybe even in the next few months? Possibly? I don't usually pay attention to how long these sneak peak articles come out before actual products hit the shelves. I think I'm just being optimistic, but I want to ask.

Has FFG ever promised a release date? All I've ever seen are "probably sometime in this three month period".

More likely than not they won't be announcing a release date until the product has finally reached distributors. That being said it would be foolish for FFG to announce the product after it has hit shelves or not even announce it at all. However FFG customers have brought up concerns of products being completely spoiled months before they are available. It sort of makes an unfair playing field as people can just load spoiled information on VASSAL and play it as such getting practice before anyone else has a chance. Not saying that VASSAL is a problem it allows for players in remote locations to play their favorite board games with other players that enjoy it. Still it doesn't guarantee complete sponsorship of FFG products or ensure that a physical portion of the product is available before playing the game. Sad but true X-wing miniatures is not free 2 play, at least it is not microtransaction for each game though.

It's estimated arrival at my local gamestore at 1/1/2029*. I'm not getting my hopes up.

Well, in this case I've got a question to experienced old players. The Raider was announced a long time earlier than Wave 7, and now we have that Spanish video with a K-wing. Doesn't it (theoretically) increase the chance of a so called 'stealth release' of the Raider?

I mean, what is this brand new, ready-to-play kit in the Spanish video? The whole Wave 7 has already been printed?..
