Great write up! We don't see too many star vipers out this way so kudos for taking it to the enemy with that list man.
Cheers. I was one of only 2 star viper pilots out of 60 players, and considering how badly I had done on saturday I had really considered flying something else,
I'm very glad I stuck with it as Xizor can be beastly vs the tougher ships that are prevalent in the current meta with his FCS and boost/barrel roll.
Great write up as usual Janus (I was a fan of your Six Sigma write ups!) and well done for doing so well with what's considered a 'dud' ship as your centrepiece! Just a quick question... Does Xizor's ability chew through the Z's quickly? The reason I ask is I was considering running him with three Scyks, but I fear they'll 'pop' too rapidly. I can understand using a 12pt ship as a meat shield but a 20pt cannon carrier is another matter!
Surprised to see no 2 ship lists in your report.
Were there many at the event or did you just avoid them?
Nice report - I'm a big fan of how the StarViper flies so it's nice to see it doing well.
It's also great that Interceptors back in the game - I took two through to the final of a local casual tournament last weekend ![]()
Aye there were quite a few 2 ship lists, double agressor's, double decimators, double firesprays, double falcons and a few falcon outrider. I managed to avoid them somehow.
Though I'm not that scared of a single large ship, 2 can be annoying.
I also have a healthy respect of double agressors, having lost quite a few games to them with this list, which is why I added a flechette torp.
