I'm new to the game (as in one week ago I bought it) and am hooked. I have a few friends that I play with, but we are looking for larger groups and organized play. Anyone know of anything like this in Mid TN? I live in Murfreesboro and go to Roll the Dice regularly, but have yet to really connect with any players there.

Any events in Murfreesboro? I'm going to be in town for almost a week and could bring some X-wing stuff, but there's nothing listed on the primary game store that comes up (Roll the Dice).

Some folks play in Hermitage and I am trying to get something going in Hendersonville. Sadly, for a city the size of Nashville (and it's nearby neighbors), we haven't got much of a scene. I'm familiar with Roll The Dice because they are a sponsor and presence at our annual Tennessee Game Days convention (which is great by the way).

Do you play on Vassal? I keep telling myself I *have* to start on Vassal and learn how to use it efficiently to get in some games. Every time I start Vassal up with the module I get needlessly overwhelmed. I've looked at the FAQs etc - but squad building in Vassal seemed a bit awkward.

I suspect if I could get a squad or 10 built out and saved things would be much easier. Then I could work on learning the keystrokes to take actions etc.

Anyway - if I didn't live an hour away ...

I have the same issue with Vassal -- user interface seems needlessly clunky so I haven't taken the time to use it.
