Tie advanced, now possibly the best ship in X-Wing?

So, Juno with stay on target?

I just thought the same thing.

Juno could be badass ...

So, Juno with stay on target?

Would it stack? Which would you have to do first?

Also low PS pilots with mega special abilities... Howlrunner with swarm tactics is mighty cheap.

I think the support pilots are interesting. I could see guys like Zertik and Colzet being useful for having cheap tools that would be good against 2-atk swarms and big hulled ships, respectively.

From my experience using ~4 z-95s or ties, the goal is typically get into range 1 to improve chances of dealing damage to 3 agi targets whenever I can and make use of numbers. Zertik would become a challenge to deal with from there.

Colzet is really neat because he could be flying around at the edge of range, just flipping damage cards over. Not super great, I mean no one uses saboteur, but at least it can be done at any range with certainty that a card will flip over. Shennanigans with steele could be done to pick out cards that are resolved when flipped facedown. For example, steele picks thrust control fire, it gets flipped down, Colzet flips it faceup again at the end phase.

Juno absolutely crushes the biggest problem with the advanced (post Tie X1) and that is a weak dial. She will be like flying an interceptor or A-Wing with options out the wazoo!

Either or I believe. It may be faq'ed later but as it stands both are on reveal.

Wingman her with fettigator for a "i go where i want!" list.

Yeah throw Outmaneuver on Juno and watch your Opponent try to get out of her arc.

This said... If i were doing advanced swarm i'd consider swarm tactics. PS8 PS3 dude..

Fickle just fcs on the PS3.

I am thinking Howlrunner & Strom + 3 academies list could be fun. It would be brutal in range 1.

Colzet makes Chewie cry giant Wookie tears.

Well, perhaps I am quite strange person, or simply too old.

I quit playing warhammer 40.000 after 5 diferent editions. Bikes are nerds...now are the best...now are quite useless...now they are on top...etc.

Superb pilot plus unique superb dial? Buy this 100 euro huge ship...because a superb dial is included for this top gun pilot!!!

No thanks... I will purchase the Raider plus Tantine, but not because here started the "unique dials" race. I am too old... I will stick to Red x wings an Sabre Interceptors

Looks like FFG is making a attempt to give the Advanced some incentive to use their System slot for something other than ATC or Accuracy Corrector.

Is Juno's dial limited by the templates in the game? Because I want to 4 turn/bank or go 6 forward! :D

I agree. You have multiple choices and lots of potential within those choices.

I like Lt. Colzet. It's like FFG said, "Okay, so Saboteur is unsalvageable, but if you like that mechanic, here's a version that's at least playable."

I'd think it would work the same way as SOT + Navigator. So, you can activate them in either order, but the maneuver will always end up red. And, if SOT activates second, then your final maneuver will have to be one actually present on your dial.

Personally, I'd like to try Juno Eclipse + Outmaneuver + Advanced Sensors + Engine Upgrade. She's basically the new Echo! (with half the firepower, thankfully)

Yeah this is what I was thinking. Try and get away now.

They could easily add 3 new templates to the game in this Huge ship expansion, but I don't think they will.

You can do them in either order, but you'll often want to do Stay on Target first because Juno's ability isn't limited to options that are actually on your dial.

No, they couldn't. How much would people flip out if FFG "forced" them to buy all-new acrylic template sets?

Eh. Imo, the Tie/x1 title and ATC/AC crush the biggest problem with the Tie Advance (it's a malformed X-wing that hits like a tie fighter)

Now that damage isn't so much an issue, its sturdy profile and action bar (plus ridic abilities) can start to shine

This could work, but FCS is definitely a sub-optimal system to put on these guys

Since they already specified Juno's possible movement choices in the news post, I don't think a 4 turn/bank or 6 forward will be legal:

Oh wow I'm even more excited than I was previously!! I cannot wait to get my grubby mitts on these awesome Pilots! Time to try an elite advanced list ^_^

I don't think they are overpowered. Powerful yes but I highly doubt it will warp the format like the phantom did. FFG is pretty good about balancing and they were hurting before. They will definitely get tons of play now both for the reboot factor, the draw of such an iconic ship, as well as being competitive.

Also for who asked about 6 forward... No. They showed what maneuvers Juno can do. It's one up and down within the limits of existing maneuvers. They had to specify no zero since that is a maneuver and a green stop would insane. 6 doesn't exist so no real reason to specify that.

Edit: ninja'd

You mean I can't do a 0 bank maneuver?

So sad.

Juno is amazing.

She's the pilot I was the most excited about, and she's just awesome. That's...tremendous.

I want to run some crazy Juno/Tetran Cowell/Something list (maybe Echo?) that's just all about repositioning, ignoring what's actually on your dial, and having a bazillion crazy movement options.

Also, am I the only one thinking about maybe trying Push the Limit with her? She feels like she'd have an awful lot of green to work with, and that flexibility could make shedding the stress pretty easy. Combine her already-awesome movement with barrel rolls, maybe even EU for boosts, that's...that's pretty flexible, y'know?
