May the 4th be with you

By bubblepopmei, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Stretch out with your feelings.

Each Star Wars movie begins with an opening crawl and then the camera pans down, with one exception. Which Star Wars movie begins with the camera panning up after the crawl?

Use the 4th!

and up/down are so relative in space. Even in this case it pans to show the horizon of a planet at the edge of the screen.

Don't celebrate with alcohol or tomorrow will be Revenge of the Fifth!

Trivia thread!

What was Jabba's counter-offer to Boussh's demand of 50 thousand?

Use the 4th!

35 thousand.

35 thousand.

And I DO suggest you take it. :P

Alright, then, I see how it is...

How many people in the Star Wars films are black?

(Sorry if that seems racist; it's just an observation. At least they include some of my favorite characters!)

Oh, and May the Fourth be With You, my fellow thcoundrelth, Rebelth, and Jedith.

In the original 3. 1
In the Prequels 2. Captain Panaka. And another of Padme's guards

At least that's who I know of. Technically I suppose Jar Jar is black..or played by a black actor....

Dang; you caught my trick question (depends on whether or not you think the Prequels are blasphemy).

But no, you missed Mace Windu. No problem, though; I'd forgotten those two!

Summary: Don't ask questions you don't fully understand yourself.

There was at least one black X-Wing pilot at Endor and I think a few of the non-named members of Naboo's forces were black as well.

If you include those actors playing aliens, then you would have to include a certain Twilek dancer.

I forgot about her :)

Black voice, white actor.

There was a black guy on Endor. I saw someone here (or on The Force.net forums) of the guy in background shots)

Had a great time yesterday at the FFG event center in Roseville for May the 4th. FFG needs to do that event annually. Thank you FFG. We may not have captured whisper base but darn it my character needed a shower after 2 days in the onderon jungle. Lol

Actually I found this a couple of months ago watching the Orig. There are from my count of ALL 6...7 (8 if you count Jar Jar) Black People. (Relax everyone I am a Black man so NO TROLLING!)

Ep 1...2, Jar Jar (The Actor is Black but I DONT COUNT HIM), & Queen Dali Lama's Security Dude

Ep 2...2, The 2nd Security Dude for Senator Dali Lama (And Jar Jar), & The actual Actor of Jar Jar Binx is in the Cantina w/ GL's Daughter & Anthony Daniels

Ep 3...0

Ep 4...0

Ep 5...1, Lando

Ep 6...4, Lando, The guy who says ("She's gonna blow"), And 2 Black dudes in the background of Jabba's Palace

So that is 7 people that I found. Now find the Asian & Latino/Mexican people in the Universe.

it is amazing what you can see if you actually watch the movies, and pay attention to the background performers.

Bespin had two members of the wing guard, Willrow Hoods (guy with the ice cream maker). That's all I remember from memory, so those that say there is only one 'black person' in Star Wars need to actually watch the films.

I believe there was also a female A-wing pilot in Return of the Jedi, but the voice was dubbed over with a male.

There is an Asian B-wing pilot, and Jimmy Smits - Bail Organa
