I could care less for ships like the A-wing and Y-wing, and I couldn't care less about ships like the B-wing.

They do have a point. An "I'm going to Armada" thread in the X-wing forum... why, exactly? There are loads of these but why do people feel the need to post them, and moreover post them in the X-wing forum?

But I suppose while we're at it I'm feeling a total hype of nothing at all for Episode 7 stuff, but I expect FFG's approach isn't going to be "stick 30 years out of era and come to think of it out of faction ships into Rebel and Empire." They'll probably handle 7 differently.

This is pretty much why I posted. There have been quite a few of these "well I am off to play armada." Threads as of late...and I, for one, find them quite bothersome...there are alot of us here who are quite inspired w xwing still and some of us *gasp* have NO desire to play armada. Why should those of us on an xwing board discussing xwing care if/why YOU are moving to armada? Go do it then...but the rest of us don't need a new status report everyone someone moves over. Let's discuss xwing and keep armada where it belongs...

Well, I am not going to Armada. It looks neat, but my disposable income has not reached Trumpian levels yet.

I kinda get where the OP is coming from, X-wing has shifted focus away from ships I care about to ships I care less about. So I no longer buy one of everything. Wave 7 is, unexciting too me. The Punisher is amusing, and the hounds tooth has enough nostalgia to get a maybe, the Kihraxz I just have no attachment to. They aren't bad, but I doubt any of them are day 1 purchases and the K-Wing, no. from the prior wave, I doubt I will ever get the IG, and I keep saying I will get around to getting the decimate, but I always have some place else to spend my money. Of course, I would give a kidney for the Raider, so they haven't gone completely away from what I want.

But the flip side of my, "it is ok to hate things" rant is, someone else wants it. i can think of dental work I would enjoy more than the K-Wing, but there are a lot of people excited about it so they will make more. My only wish from this is that the clone war folks make enough noise to get me my ARC.

my buying has slowed with the release of scum. i got most wanted, a starviper and an IG-88, yes ill likely get another most wanted eventually but i have enough ships to make 98% of lists i want to play and i have waaaayy too many ships sitting on the shelf not seeing ANY play.

3 phantoms, 3 bombers, 3 firesprays (played all3 once and like them), 3 shuttles (playing two in some lists still because they are Boss). i have rebel ships that r not seeing much play either. wonder if i can bring myself to sell some of them. i doubt it. im too emotionally attached now.
