I ran this vs my friend's Fel, Jax, Turr list and got knifed up pretty badly. The obvious impediment was his humongous PS bid. It was incredibly difficult to keep him in arc. He did wail furiously when he had to take Soontir off the board from bugzapper damage, though.

the Zs will fly with xizor, and guri as a flanker hopefully, and the Zs provide some damage support with feedback, although it might be worth dropping them for init and another upgrade? not sure gotta play it and find out.

Lone Wolf saved Xizor for a couple of rounds. It's definitely useful on him since I was shooting for him to be the closer. He ended up getting Jaxxed which is a terrible fate for a ship with no evade action.

What I was referring to was getting Jaxx all up in there and not being able to take evade on Xizor. I really really want to like the Viper, but it has bad PS bid against real superiority ships and taking VI screws up its action econ. This ship dsperatly needs a Prototype Title so they can access more EPTs...not like they need more expense. But I'd love to be able to take focus for defense and still be able to boost to get out of arc.

well that's the magic of the character vipers (the generics are sadly just overpriced)

Guri's ability gets her action economy (Free focus!)

Xizor's ability just allows him to play completely differently than what you may expect a ship with that profile to play like. He doesn't have to arc-dodge a dang thing until his entire escort is dead. With his ability granting constant evades (or just sheer psychological immunity to shooting), either VI + FCS or Predator (sensors are fun here) will take care of his action economy just fine while making him hilariously durable to boot

It's just an issue of getting used to the kind of ship the Viper is. when flown by its characters, It's not at all a precision fighter like mr. triple action fell or even PTL + r2-d2 corran with all his bobbing and weaving. It's a steam-train that just happens to maneuver pretty well when all its buddies are dead

It will be an enjoyable incline to mount but I think Virago might have been non-unique to help out the Vigos. Right now I can only see myself running Xi, Guri and couple of mooks with exposed wires hanging out of them.
