Say Zi Mei has two Need to Destroys in play, and no other foundations. She plays a FotA. Can she destroy both NTDs and one of the face down cards created by NTD for the multiple 3? (assuming you've used the Zi Mei enhance on FOTA)

Off the top of my head I'd say no, granted the NtD refers to 'after' this has been destroyed, i.e. I think the multiple ability is played, the NtD is chosen to be used for the multiple and then the multiple ability cost payment thing is over. Immediately 'after' you get a foundation back.

Not 100% sure though, but more confident than not.

If she destroyed NtD for the multiple:3, the facedown card cannot be used for the same multiple ability (the facedown card comes after you just paid the cost for the multiple). If you gave it multiple:2 with Zi Mei, you can keep going.

So you can commit them both to give it multiple:2, play it with Need to Destroy then use the face down cards for the SECOND multiple.

The way I read it, NtD's are being destroyed at the response step to increase the multiple keyword to 5 and thus you are not yet at the point where the Zi Mei enhance will allow you to destroy foundations to pay the cost. When you do get to that Zi Mei enhance the blank foundations are usable to pay for the multiples.

EDIT: Sorry, just woke up and re-read that. The OP is referring to the NtD's being destroyed just for the Zi Mei enhnace not in response to FotA being played, my bad.

I had to edit my post too, I thought it referred to the R but the question is whether he can destroy 2 RtD's for Zi Mei's replacement effect, then also use one of the replaced NtD's to complete the Multiple:3.

Since you have to pay the costs at the same time, the answer is no. But you could check a 5, commit 1 to make it, commit the other and Zi Mei to GIVE it another Multiple:2, destroy the two NtDs for the Multiple:2, then use the two facedown cards (and hopefully a momentum lol) for the Multiple:3, that's doable. The important part is that you can't destroy NtD and the resulting facedown card for the same multiple of FotA.

I was thinking you couldn't do it, I just wanted to check how fast continuous abilities were. And yea, it's possible in the current meta to give it Multiple 3,2 and 2 all at the same time. They are seperate enhances, so Solitary Assassin or ZM will only affect one at a time. And it only takes one MotB to make the Zi Mei player cry.

It would be nice for a stamp though.

what happens if you G corp leader the foundations you destory for the multiple effect?

Well, after you destroy them, they go to your hand and can't resolve the multiple, so there would be no multiple copy.
