Very cool. TallTonyB did a gold-plated TIE for his howl runner that I loved. He kept the panels black, but everything else gold. These solid gold ones are cool too though.

I think they'd benefit from having either the paneling or the rest of the ship in a different colour. TIEs thrive on contrast.

Rustoleum metallic. They have a high luster rattle-n-spray metalic.

The black on the base was an enamel that came out too thick and can't hold ship tokens.

I normally just use a matt black spray for bases and undercoats but I haven't tried a metallic spray yet. Time to go shopping......

Fun idea ! But you should weather them a bit, a simple back or brown wash would add more contrast.

I agree with Destyre. I think you need a wash or something to add some depth.
