Yes and yes.

If Etahn has the target in his firing arc, anyone (including Ethan) that attacks at that target is allowed to flip a hit to a crit. It will also allow Gunner's second attack to flip a hit to a crit. Any attack on a target that is defending that Etahn has in his arc.

He's pretty awesome. Used him to absolutely murder a Cr-90 with 4a-wings and 4z-95s.

Also worth noting that in multi-player games it will work on one enemy attacking a different enemy.

He's awesome with four or more ships in a three ship list or under he's less than stellar which is why you see Corran more.
