If so, please send out more aces packs.

Black and orange, not gold.
Yes the do, but they can't post.
I've seen Alex Davis listed at viewing a thread a couple different times.
Alex HAS posted multiple times... He just chooses when and where and doesn't do it that often.

I don't know that I've ever seen a post by him. But they did say at one point they're not supposed to post on the boards

I have seen him post a couple times on battle reports in direct reply to tournaments that he participated in, specifically the recent Store Championship at FFG HQ. I guess that is OK. ![]()
I recall seeing him on a couple different threads shortly after I have publicly posted some numbers on XYZ that was just revealed. I think FFG has me wire-tapped.
Of course they can also be sneaky and just view threads anonymously too. Logout + incognito mode.
I think I recall him posting a couple times when the new FAQ was released confirming that a couple things wrote typos and thanking people for pointing them out.
I thought the Rebel Transport was the X-wing Aces?

It seems like you do a lot of charity work for your favorite game here MJ. I think a lot of us appreciate it.

Yup, I remember those posts as well. It was at that point we noticed his avatar said he had something like 40 posts and everyone was saying "how did we miss your other 39 posts??" Or whatever.
If you just pull up his profile you can see the things he's posted:

Check out that sweet avatar XD lol
I'm certain they monitor some of the discussion that goes on in these boards especially when it may lead to questions that get emailed directly to FFG. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them even do post occasional under an alias because coming in as a "official from FFG" brings with it a lot of weight that may not belong in a discussion.
A case in point could be the dial discussions preceding Scum and Villainy. Apparently someone got an email from a FFG official stating how dials would be required to be faction specific which of course set off a firestorm of threads concerning that. To break the debate down you had one group which could point to many reasons why dial faction shouldn't matter while the other side basically had "but it doesn't look right AND we are already right because FFG said so." When the smoke clears we see that what your dial looks like doesn't matter provided it is for the same ship type.
I'm sure there are plenty of other things you could see change and/or happen which are discussed earlier on the boards. Sure a lot of those things may be talked about other places as well but by reading the boards FFG can get an even wider variety of opinions than they would if they had to talk to people directly.
I hope hey don't, thy seem to be doing fine so far.

I think that if I worked at FFG, I would probably pick your brains before deciding point values in edge cases.
From what I can see, FFG has some brilliant game designers working for them- they are able to come up with very clever new rules and wrinkles. But every now and then they get the math a bit wrong. Having some outside backup wouldn't be a bad thing. ![]()
He probably gets some leeway on the "No Employees posting rule" since he's kind FFG's "Face" for the game, at least to us here in the forums. I've only ever seen him post about the errors in the aforementioned FAQ back in March, so I imagine he can only comment on neutral topics like those, and on things that are more personal like the tourney's he's participated in. We'll never see him post on a speculation thread, or anything like that.
