M12-L Kimogila Heavy Fighter

The M12-L Kimogila heavy fighter was the heaviest in MandalMotors line of snubfighters.
The M12 was used by the Hutt crime organizations to protect their 'interests' and were often crewed by mercenary pilots.
This custom Hutt starfighter was long ranged and could serve multiple roles in space combat.
Its numerous gun emplacements classified the ship as a heavy fighter, and its torpedo capabilities allowed it to function as a bomber in special circumstances.
This flexibility made it quite popular among free mercenaries.
Though it lacked the speed and maneuvering capabilities of its predecessors, its ability to cause wanton slaughter could outweigh these factors.

Ha! I've finally looked at this thread. I've done a lot of crazy stuff in Warhammer Fantasty and I swear that I can't look at kids' toys anymore without seeing all sorts of hobby options. I made a Chaos Dwarf army and used an Iron Man toy to make a giant metal robot that was fueled by a fire demon. All sorts of chains, blades, and severed heads all over it.
I even made a display board that I had to plug in with styrofoam, a yogurt cup, and a smoke machine. It was an altar that glued red and spewed fog. Missed Best Painted by 1 vote at that event.
I'm glad I can calm down a bit with X-wing and it's all pre-painted.
Awesome work on the squirt gun.

I did manage to get this baby cleaned up real good but the weather is acting up. It likes to rain and be muggy here in my mountain-ringed-valley during the Spring. I am going to get a second Kimogila this month coming and paint both of them at the same time.

Yeah she is The BIG Momma of Hutt Fighters... basically she is a SCUM K-Wing, with more ass. When I rule-up her paper it is going to combine the fun of a be a B-Wing with K-Wing Ordnance and the cute SLAM action.

The ship will move like a brick, but because of it's heavy engines it can still do powerful burst to sling (SLAM) it's big ass around the board. This is going to be a hellah-fun-ship!!! Wham HLC's... WHAM Missiles & Torps.... BOOM! I am giving her a few Titles so she can fire Dat HLC & still use Ordnance... cause that is what the ships was made to do if you read up on it all... HUTT & MERC Glory!!!

Made a start on my JBR7-inspired YV [sorry for the crap phone pic - white balance is sh1t - but the colour is adjusted to be about right]
The colours will tone down with the wash, and I chose not to follow your painting for the layout, but rather went with the panel lines as per the khiraxz and m3-a factory-paint schemes...

[Might have to get myself another, as do fancy doing a Moralo Eval scheme]

By hand - I tried airbrushing years ago, and found I have zero talent for it...whereas I have just slightly more than that with a paintbrush...
I've recently 'discovered' acrylic pens, which give me just about enough control to overcome how much my hands shake with my advancing years,

I've been painting minis (mostly pewter) for 30 years.. not sure if I can bring myself to repaint any XWing minis though.. they're so purty already! LOL

I know what you mean...part of the reason for getting into x-wing was that my regular opponent didn't want to have to do any painting, and the quality was so good...
...and I have just a touch of OCD in that I do like to have at least one of each ship in 'factory finish' ![]()
