So, me and one of my players who likes to GM a side campaign were kicking around a few ideas at work when we had one for a side campaign featuring all the Inquisitors we have made up to date. Essentially what we have in mind is a large conflict between the Inquisiton of a sector/sub-sector where a group of Inquisitors has deemed the Inquisitor Sector to no longer be fit for his position. Unfortunately he refuses to give up his position and has a group of fiercely loyal inquisitors under him. Emerging from this conflict is a group of radical inquisitors that view this as the perfect chance to reform the local inquisition to their aims, while yet a fourth group finds the entire conflict a magnificent waste of time and resources, and just wishes to quell all forces as soon as possible.

We figure that in order to best explore this setting, (though we are fully awarer of other options) we would like for the players to be Inquisitors of the sector. As such, I was wondering if anyone knew of any house rules for an Inquisitor Career Path.

Id start each carachter with a bucket load of experience maybe about 10,000 and use the normal career paths, at the end of the day all inquisitors where once acolytes it will also give them some depth and back ground, there is a section in the Inquisitors Handbook for advanced career paths

Well that's a route I haven't considered before. The only thing is that if I just let them choose a career path and build an "epic level" character is that I don't know how other people treat the Inquisiton in their campaigns, but almost all (say one) of mine are psykers. I mean of course, we could just agree on a general scheme of abilities and such-- I suppose, first I'd like so see if anyone else has done any rules of Inquisitor PCs before we write up our own house rules. If that ends up being the case then I'll definately post it here. Surely we aren't the only ones who have ever had the desire to have an Inquisitor-based campaign.

I'd say wait until Ascention comes out. It will have details on running "epic level" Dark Heresy campaigns.
