So my x wing friends (one of them being my dad, Lord bless him for getting me into Star wars when I was younger) are making a giant list of every ship and upgrade we own and we are going to do a fantasy football style draft and build lists using everybody's stuff. But once a named character is taken no one else can take it. Can't be two Ben Rothlesburger right? Should be fun. Once the lists are made there will be biweekly timed games just like in a regular tournament. After a couple of months the scores will be tallied and prizes will be awarded for 1st-4th place

You should add injuries to the system. If a named ship gets destroyed they are out of commission for a number of matches equal the overkill damage they took!

Draft day isn't until June 12 but I will revive this post when the time comes. I'm thinking of running oicunn with expose, bounty hunter on the firespray, and omicron on the shuttle. That's been my go to lately and its been working for me. 3-0 with it

Depending on your timing, vader might be a good number 1 based on his crew ability plus soon to be awesome pilot ability.

So the draft is next weekend. The ships and upgrades available will be the ones the players submit to the TO. The TO the organizers all the stuff into an easy to read draft sheet and you go from there. Here are the rules

Alright everyone here are the rules. If you have any questions you know how to get a hold of me.

DRAFTING

We are going to do an auction style draft. Everyone will have $400 to spend in the auction. You will bid on ships and immediately after you win you will have your pick of pilot. You can draft up to 200pts to fill out your team.Your entire "team" which includes your list, you're bench, AND any upgrades you take CANNOT exceed 200pts or exceed your $400 limit. Non-Unique Upgrades are unlimited but will cost $1 for every point it is worth in the game. For example a heavy laser cannon costs 7 pts and will cost $7 from your pool of money and consume 7 of your 200 pt limit.

Following the ship draft there will be a second auction for the unique/named upgrades and crew members. Unique upgrades such as specific ship titles like the Millenium Falcon or named crew members like Chewbaca will only have one copy available. First person to draft a Unique upgrade will get the one and only copy. In the event that you draft a named pilot like Darth Vader, Lando Calrissian, or Luke Skywalker you will also be given any crew cards with that unique character at no extra cost. This will happen because I can't have Luke as a crew if you have Luke as a pilot. there is only one Luke Skywalker. If you are planning on using a unique crew character like Leebo you may need to be prepared to draft him as a pilot. While this will be more expensive there are no guarantees that the crew member will be available come time to draft upgrades.

Finally in regards to the Firespray 31. Boba Fett and Kath Scarlett are two pilots available for both imperial and Scum. if you draft Fett as an Imperial you will also have the Fett Scum pilot.

TRADES AND LINEUP CHANGES

Trades can be made after each round of playing is over and everyone's scores are counted for that round. Trades can not take place during a round of playing. I will notify you when the trade window is open and the trade window will close when i send out the next group pairings. If you trade away a unique pilot that also has a crew card then you must trade both at once. Keep this in mind while negotiating trades. Don't just give away a 2 for 1 unless you really want/need to. All trades are final after the window closes.

During the time that the window is open you may decide to change up your lineup by using a different set of ships or upgrades from your bench. If you choose to change it up you are free to do so. Honor system here. If you realize a good lineup change after the window closes for the round then don't change it. Of course no one will know so thats on you.

Remember we are here to have fun not to cheat

FACTION MIXING

Just like in Fantasy Football where you might have a Cowboy’s tight end playing the on the same team as a Steelers QB you may have ships and upgrades on your bench from all 3 Factions. You may field a tie fighter next to an x wing if that is what you want to do. Perfectly acceptable here. What you cannot do is run a Scum only crew on a rebel ship. Just cuz our tight end and QB are now playing for the same team doesn't mean they share jock cups. thats just wrong and in the case of x wing would cause too much unbalanced situations. Scum only crew and titles go on Scum ships and Scum ships only. Same goes for Imperials and Rebels.
