Concentrating fire on Squadrons

By NOPUNintendo64, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

If I have my Neb B use a concentrate fire, and let's say there are three TIE fighter squadrons in my front arc , do I add one blue die for EACH squadron or do I choose ONE squadron to add a blue die to?

One squadron. You use the Concentrate Fire command against a squadron at a specific step in the attack resolution steps, at the last step it says you can repeat the steps, but when you get to the Concentrate Fire opportunity again you can't use it, because you can only use each command once per ship activation.

I thought X number of squadrons equal 1 ship? because you just have to indicate if you are attacking a "ship" or "squardons" in the firing arc. just the rules weren't clear on that or i didn't see the line in the book :) . we have been playing it as the anti-squadron are concentrating fire against all the swarm of squadrons in it's range. if i'm wrong let me know please, thanks.

You are wrong. Was a pleasure.

For more details, read the Reference Rule booklet under Attack section (page 2).

Basically, think of it this way. You get to use Concentrate Fire on one instance of you picking up a dice pool and rolling it.

In place of one attack against a ship you attack each squadron in arc and range.

Concentrate Fire (dial and/or token) resolves during the Roll Dice step of an attack, therefore it affects that attack roll and only that roll. By the time you declare another squadron, the command has been resolved.

On a related note, remember you can only use each command once per activation (combining dial and token counts as one thing) - so even if you used Wulf (or similar) to keep your ConFire token after a reroll, you can't use the token again whether you declare another squadron in that attack, or during your second attack.
