Wow, did Valve actually steal all the work GOG put into making the old Lucasarts games playable on modern PCs?

No Masters of Teras Kasi? I am disappoint

I already own the good games from that selection :)

For $1.79 you can get the Naboo Starfighter game. I mean, it's not a good game from that selection, it doesn't really qualify as a space sim, but it's cheaper than a cup of coffee.

I wonder if they made XvT work on SteamWorks?

Nothing prequel related will ever defile my games machine!

I was impressed with KOTOR was 2.99 that is a bargain!

Deep down you know you love that yellow and chrome look, Hobo. Really, really, really deep down.

GoG does the star wars games i'd check them for offers, they have set them up to work with windows 7 and 8 straight off so no messing about tie fighter worked for me right away.

You accusing me of having a soul cause i find that highly offensive...

Unlocking Jodo Kast in that was one of the greatest achievements of my life back when I was 10.

Wish I could find a picture of his appearance in that game. His Mando armor had a delightful "secondhand" look to it, if memory serves.

It says it has multiplayer, and Steam cloud support, so I would *assume* that means yes, but...I can't tell.

Problem with the forums is that 90% of the people posting are referring to the GOG version of the games, and that's different from these. The Steam version is a different package, different .exe, etc.

Certainly a game series to remind you of the importance of obstacles.

XWM could have been like this, folks...

Am I the only one who doesn't like these games?

Be advised, DF2:JK was borked the last time I tried to play it.

And unlikely to be fixed- They essentially only have what was on the CDs for Dark Forces 2 and Mysteries of the Sith, so devs can't go in and fix it.

My understanding is that the source code is lost, which is unfortunate. I'm still waiting for a decent source port for DF1, so I can finally have real mouse look.

Have you tried this?

I've never tried it, so I don't know how good it is. I seem to recall there was also a mod for some other game that recreated Dark Forces.

I tried it, it won't run without the requisite sound driver.

THEY CAN HAVE MY FIRSTBORN.

Yes.

I'm unsure how other people can't play this game when it works fine on my machine.

It's playable, you just can't use the escape button or navigate the menus once you start playing. It's quick save/load or nothing.
