[Video Report] Regionals final game from Malmö, Sweden

By SmartCookie, in X-Wing

Here is the final game (with English commentary) of the Regional in Malmö, Sweden.

I only had time to flick through but that seemed an intriguing match. From what I saw the Rebel player seemed to fly well, but god that interceptor didn't want to take any hits!

It then seemed to be one of those games where one player goes after a certain ship, doesn't get any luck and before you know it you are down a few ships yourself.

Excellent, I will have to watch this later!

I feel for the rebel player, sometimes the dice are just so good and that's the risk you take when chasing down Auto-Fel instead of the Decimator. Perhaps if he would have set up to feign on Fel and then turned all in on the Decimator he might have had better luck. Fel usually bug's out anyways and if he's dodging arcs he's probably not shooting so its a good opportunity to burn down the big ship. That's just my opinion though. It's a tough cookie to crack though, you pay for it either way. That's why it's a top tier list.

Thanks for the video. The video quality and the commentary were great. Keep up the good work. Hopefully we can see stuff like this for many of the regional championships.

I would like to point out that you don't indicate anywhere that there is an R3-A2 on the Rookie. It took me awhile to figure out why Fel was getting that second stress.

I've fixed that by adding text that explains it while I go through Kasper's list with those Youtube text pop-ups.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Good stuff, watched (nearly) all videos over the past few days. How is the X-Wing scene in Sweden?

In Stockholm (including Uppsala) and Gothenburg there are also a healthy number of players and playing in eachote'rs tournaments are doable as the train rides are not too long.

In the northern most part there is also allt of players but we normally don't visit eachother's tournaments as it is a bit too far.

We are also not that bad. Mårten (the winner of the Malmö Regional) won Nordics 2013 and then placed 17th in worlds 2013 (one place away from making the final cut that year) and I (who defeated Mårten (he flew the same build as he won with now) in the Lund Store Championship final) got to the top 32 in last years Vassal Galactic Cup.
