Do we have a sample pre-gen character for each of the specializations yet?

By Emirikol, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I whipped this up an EXCEL 2007 program this morning to make a complete SAMPLE PREGEN random character: Random Character generator (complete statistical, including specializations) [[FILE UPDATED USE NEXT LINK]]

It assigns xp for Characteristics, Talents and skills randomly and otherwise creates a random statistical character. Any feedback is welcome. I'll probably move this over to the char gen thread in a week or so if I get a chance to develop it. Mostly it's just there for my kids to generate random characters.

You hit F9 to generate a new character.

I put some non-random user inputs in a tab if the user wishes.

Version 1.1: Includes Character sheet, suggested assignment of statistics (2 for non-droids; 4 for droids), skiills, and talents; obligation, motivations and starting weapon(s).

Now, I'm just wondering if I should assign primary characteristics by career, or if I should make it random expenditure of xp regarding that (thoughts?). Here's where the Sample Pregen-Specialization characters would be really handy.

* I won't be doing up names and personalities. Others have done a much better job of that and have beautiful output devices if you need those things here. This program is for random statistical character generation "instantly" if your character dies and you need one, need inspiration/originality, or if you need a character and don't want to spend time on generation (such as if you're playing with kids and don't want to bore them to tears pouring over the numbers).

Ive done these for the following other systems:

WFRP3

WFRP3 adventure generator

Colonial Gothic 2e

Top Secret 1981

Witch Hunter 2e

DnD 5e

Dnd 5e beginner set

Ghostbusters international

Happy gaming!

I would at least have the generator buy up to a three in the career's most relevant attribute before spending the rest of the experience. One can certainly have people with average scores in careers, but its uncommon as a PC.

Alrighty, it now assigns randomized improved characteristics from x.p. pool: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/167876/STAR%20WARS/random%20EOTE%20chargen%201.2.xlsx

Next up, will be randomized assigned xp for skills. Currently, it is just listed as "xp for skills" and "xp for talents."

I'm estimating that will be a little while, but this was a big breakthrough today.
