Specifically with 3 proxy mines and navigator? Dropping VI on him runs you 52 points and at PS 10 and means you should have a full view of the table before you commit to your bombing run. Also a nice number of points to let you run a 4 tie mini swarm along side him.

I actually like using proximity mines on my lower PS ships. THat way they move near a high ps ship and drop the mine. I use seismics on my high PS ships that way i already know where everyone is and drop it when i need it
