Question: Star Wars trailer in front of Age of Ultron?

more refreshing titles like Guardians of the Galaxy.

You mean "The Avengers.... In Space!!"

No I don't. The Avengers are immortal. Like James Bond films, we sit down and know that whatever hazardous situation arises, the heroes will overcome it. Watching Avengers is nothing more than watching a bunch of dudes in an explosion of CGI. For the sake of the franchise, I really hope they kill one or two of the Avengers off in this new movie. My money would be on Hulk or the 2 that don't have their own franchise already.

I know a lot of people like this. That's cool. I however have seen enough of it and the theme (as with the characters) have become tiring.

GotG however, had refreshing and different characters and dialogue. Hey, one of the characters even dies in it (kind of). Yeah the good guys won .. but it was a such an enjoyable journey .. as opposed to the regurgitation of every other superhero movie.

But that's just my opinion. Tickets sales clearly show that I'm in the minority.

Groot is always "killed" in the comics. It's a running gag.

I saw Avengers and was okay with it. I wasn't that enthusiastic because it's kind of getting over-saturated. I did like Guardians of the Galaxy more, and I think most of my friends did too, but Avengers wasn't bad. Personally, I think the most recent Captain America flick was much, much better than Avengers. Yeah, you knew Cap wouldn't die, but it had a lot going for it.

You didn't see the new Avengers then, I won't spoil anything, but not all the heroes had plot armor......

Meh .. Avengers.

Please Marvel, give us more refreshing titles like Guardians of the Galaxy.

Just wait. With what happened in Age of Ultron, we just might get an Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy crossover film in the future.

I saw this on the Marvel 15 year plan thing. I really hope it doesn't happen. Admittedly, I never read any of the comics but based on the films .. they feel like different universes. Definitely different styles of movie.

They pretty much said Hulk cannot die in the first Avengers when Bruce gives his speech in the Helicarrier. He tried to kill himself with a gun and just turned into the Hulk, spat out the bullet and regenerated.

deadpool killed the hulk. I saw it.

Shhhh. Deadpool talks to himself and himself and himself. Nothing told from his point of view can be trusted.

I don't know where you other guys are that didn't see the new trailer in the 2D release of Avengers, but we went to the 2D release and it was right there before the Antman trailer.

Yeah the trailer was just the one from celebration.

As for the movie it was good but not as good as the first IMO. Also I was hoping for better ending credit music.

My guess is that it was only on the 3D showings on opening weekend, then they went ahead and put it in front of all of them after all the compulsive moviegoers had been forced to pay for the 3D version.

I didn't get any Star Wars trailer in front of the 2D version I saw this past week. I did get what was like 8 trailers before it though... Got trailer fatigue.

Not only did not all the heroes at the end not have plot armor, but they had a different team of Avengers at the end of this one.

Some of the Avengers have gone into hiding, others into retirement. There are still one or two of the originals left - and lots of "sidekicks" from the stand-alones got promoted to full-fledged Avengers - but the new team will have a new dynamic.

Tony Stark is retired. Bruce Banner is in hiding. Natasha is hanging out with Rogers, but likely to go hunting for Banner sooner or later. And Thor is on a quest for the Holy Grail or something.

Scarlet Witch, Warmachine, and Falcon have joined Cap and Hawkeye (and probably Black Widow).

And if you know the story of Civil War, then you know that by the end of Captain America: Civil War, Rogers will probably be dead and Bucky will take up the mantle of Captain America. Black Panther and Antman might be joining the Avengers by the end of their titular movies - we'll find out with Antman later this summer.

In any case, the new Avengers will (probably) be a different team than the one we spent the last two Avengers movies with. Not that I don't expect them to get the team members who have left involved in the plot at some level.
