I wonder what the interaction between the Hound's Tooth title and Dead Man's Switch will be? If the Pup can deploy past Range 1, then Dead Man's Switch could be all kinds of fun. Low on health? Fly straight into the furball!
Bossk Mangler
HLC and Merc Co-Pilot would be great for some super range 3 damage.
Yup. He actually makes the Merc Co-pilot somewhat viable.
I'd have to see the dial before I start throwing a cannon on it though. If its like the Decimator (which I think it might be worse), I think I'll pass.
Edited by Jo JoThe thing is, I look at the product shot, and with that 180° forward spread I figure I'll be jockying to keep things in front of me anyway; actually keeping things within cannon-arc doesn't seem unreasonable. That said, it's definitely part of why I keep bringing up Expert Handling for Bossk. No idea if a cannon will be worth it on the other three pilots.
I still say Marksmansip gunner is the superior option here. A decent chance at a crit. And it's not like he has better options for actions.
Especiall with the Green Manuever target lock droid.
According to my calculations you get a 77% chance of getting at least one crit.
Edited by AminarWhy is using a cannon bad at all here? It's like using a cannon on the Firespray, with auxiliary arcs that make it more likely to bring your cannon to bear.
Secondary weapons can only fire from the smaller front arc. Firespray cannot fire cannons out the back arc and Hound's Tooth cannot fire from the "edges" of the 180 o arc. If you want a large base cannon platform, you probably want to go with the Aggressor.
Emon Azzameen + Cluster Mines + Bombardier + Andrasta + Proximity Mines + Proximity Mines (47)
this is what i was thinking of using
Tried Mangler Bossk before. It's legally possible but pretty lame. Bossk just can't people in the proper arc for long at all. Calculation or Marksmanship (esp with Gunner) is my preference. It works MUCH better since those work with the entire secondary arc.
He's too expensive and too fragile to spend points on his ability. Give him VI, Engine Upgrade, and Dengar. If you land in a spot where you'll be shot more than once, ALWAYS boost away to protect him. If his ability triggers, it's a nice bonus, but his biggest advantage is access out PS9 boost.

I very much agree. This is the template for Bossk. I usually add in tactician & 4LOM too.

The true saviour against that meta scourge, Bossk.
Finished top 8 in store championships with bossk, calc, K4 and greedo, backed by 3 khiraxz.
Boosk is a blunt force object, and the khiraxz just buzz around with their not insignificant 3 attack and multiple k-turn options, not to mention a freaking 1 hard.

Oh yeah I totally forgot to say throw in your favorite crew, just be mindful of the cost.
I really enjoy using this Boss:
Maneuvering Fins
VI
Navigator
And whatever other crew/illicit you want.
The combo of Fins and Navi means you can reveal a 3 turn and do any of your other moves on that side of the dial when revealing. It's not quite as maneuverable as EU Bossk, but it's still fun and effective to a degree.
I'm firmly in the "Mangler" camp here. HLC is too expensive, and "Mangler" Cannon can deny range 3 bonuses on the first pass. Plus, it doesn't depend on having a focus token. And there are a lot of ships out there with 0-2 agility that 3 attack dice can easily punch through to give you the extra hits.

Agreed. I like to load Greedo and marksmanship with it. Pretty much designed to still deal the lost crit and then some .I'm firmly in the "Mangler" camp here. Greedo can be iffy though, he's not so much fun to have around when you're out of shields...

Just remember that he only happens the FIRST time you defend each round. Even if he didn't trigger the first time you defended, he can't trigger on the second.

Oh, I remember. Getting a Direct Hit twice in a row last game is something I can't forget though, especially as it was from a single A-wing.
